Very weird results. Some straight up ugly guys ranked as very good looking, and players like Lillard and Rubio being rated as bottom 20 percentile ugly. Doesn't add up...

I was having a conversation with a woman from Japan years ago. From what she told me, the large majority of women over there (and other Asian countries) don't find long hair attractive on men (find it childish and unprofessional), same thing with facial hair, just not to the same extent. Maybe that has something to do with the algorithm.

As an asian person myself and also a connoisseur of what asian women want, I can confirm that is (mostly) true. I'm speaking in general terms not absolute and can vary from country to country. This doesn't apply to asian women born and/or raised in North America, more so from other asian countries. Things like facial hair, muscles/masculinity, long hair isn't as important/attractive as they are with women from western cultures. Take for example:

Exhibit 2

Exhibit 2 would be MUCH more attractive to international asian women, whereas in the west exhibit 1 would be more desired. Again, just in general terms.

So from looking into the chinese AI algorithm it's easy to see why the Celtics are rated so highly. Kyrie, Horford, Tatum with their boyish looks and charm all rate very highly.

Another example:

Exhibit B Tatum (Attractive)
