This league just turned into a two super star league. If you got 2 you can go swap into the playoffs. Paul was a huge reason why the Rockets were where they were. You can keep him and wait for a team to get desperate.

I would like to keep Steven Adams but it would be cool to see him with Luka.

The only good thing about keeping CP3 would be to at least not decrease Steven Adams value.

Which western team could be in panic mode to the point of needing to trade for CP3? The only one I could see are the Lakers but they won't need him, don't have cap space and would have to get rid of all their depth for him. Doesn't make sense.

No contender in the East is going to be in that position because even with injuries Bucks, Sixers, Boston (and some more) will make the playoffs easily.

Still think the best fit from a basketball perspective for CP3 would be the spurs but salary wise it doesn't work.

Those reporters are crazy or we are screwed (well I think Presti made a big mistake by trying to send Westbrook to Houston ASAP)

Miami wants CP3 + a haul to get enough assets to get Beal
Washington wants to get rid of Wall + Beal to get some assets.

I mean, if that's the way it works then I would clear cap space ASAP to take on Wiggins contract and get a crazy amount of assets as well.

The only issue is that CP3 is a diva, still a star/superstar in the NBA and OKC wants to make it right for him :(

Couldn't Dallas use CP3? Hardaway/Courtney Lee and a first for him. Well they would need some shooting guard then. Nice fit with KP but probably not with Doncic.

Oh well hope Miami trades for Wall+Beal and we send CP3 to make peace with Blake in Detroit.

Would you do a three team deal sending cp3 and beal to miami, schroder, herro, bam and 3 of our picks to wizards and we get dragic, hachimura, plus fillers ( at the deadline we can trade dragic for a pick or two to a contending desperate team)?? Or we get wiggings or ride with a unhappy cp3 ?

Which big both teams signed? So many players into free agency that I'm lost right now

Not new that the Kings (at least their fans) wanted Steven Adam. I would like to keep Adams this year (and even more if he wants to stay in OKC) but if we get a very good offer...

It looks like Sacto has Dedmon on a pretty reasonable deal. I'd consider him in a package with other assets.

would the spurs even consider derozan + mills for paul? would charlotte trade batum for derozan?

okc out: paul
okc in: batum, mills

sas out: derozan, mills
sas in: paul

cha out: batum
cha in: derozan

how close is this for san antonio? paul is WAY better than derozan, even missing all those games his rpm wins is almost double last year.

Dont think Spurs do something like that they can trade derozan for something better and they need
to get younger not older , if they want something from this team is Adams

I think the Spurs young PGs are big enough to play with CP3. Having two ball handlers out there at all times is something. It all makes sense to me big picture, but I could see a tweak being SA getting some sort of pick from CHA. Getting DeRozan for Batum seems off.

Why wouldn't we just cut out charlotte if that's the deal? Are picks coming our way? Would much rather have DDR and Mills than Batum.

batum is slightly less $ and keeps us cap neutral. that's important since chris paul cannot be aggregated in a trade for 60 days after the trade is consummated (which, i don't even believe it has yet). also batum is just a more inoffensive player to have on a rebuilding team imo, he won't chuck at 30% usage and whatnot. if CHA is sending any picks i would have them send to san antonio to entice them further into taking chris paul.

Maybe? Looking at their roster, they are two years from having clear books. Even with paul’s contract, they wouldn’t be anywhere near the cap in that third year. They aren’t contending for anything regardless. Might as well do it with a player that fits pops style.

Still feel like San Antonio would want sweetener, but Charlotte would love that deal, I imagine.

Add a lotto protected 1st from CHA to SA and submit to the league office.
