Westbrook/CP3 trade expanded with Gallo & Memphis 2nd try

Post#1 » by red96 » Mon Jul 15, 2019 12:32 pm

Nothing changes with Paul and Westbrook.

Houston out: Paul+ initial picks, Shumpert S&T($13.2m--1 year guaranteed), prospects and fillers(Chioza, Clark, Frazier, Hartenstein), Rockets 2020 1st, 2 Rockets 2nd round picks.

Houston in: Westbrook, Gallinari, Crowder

OKC out: Westbrook, Gallo

OKC in
: Paul+ initial picks, Rockets 2020 1st, Rockets 2023 2nd round pick, Shumpert, Clark, Frazier, Hartenstein, Chioza,

Memphis out: Crowder

Memphis in
: $7.8 million TPE, Houston 2021 2nd round pick with swap with 76ers option

The Rockets go all out, deep into the tax, and give up picks and prospects. They add a 3&D player and another scorer at the 4.
The Rockets become very dangerous
Westbrook(34)-Rivers(14)
Harden(23)-Gordon(25)-Green
Tucker(10)-Crowder(15)-House(12)-Harden(11)
Gallo(24)-Tucker(15)-Crowder(9)
Capela(32)-T Chandler(10)-Gallo(6)-Davis

OKC gets under the luxary tax, cashes out on Gallo for 2 picks and a prospect for their rebuild. The Thunder cut the non-guaranteed players they don't want to keep.

Memphis saves $7.8 million, gets a TPE by Houston absorbing Crowder into their capspace, and land a pick.

Duval isn't under contract, I know tradenba.com says he does but he doesn't. This would have to wait until Davis can be aggregated Aug 12

Oh, ok thanks. I adjusted Shumpert's salary to make up the difference for the subtraction Duval.

Keep the 2020 pick. Remove the protections on the 24 and 26 picks and unprotect the 2025 swap.

Lol. Not for an expiring Gallinari. Come on, a 1st and a 2nd round pick should be fair payment for Gallo.

I don't think the Grizz give up Crowder for just a TPE and one late 2nd. If Crowder can be had for a package like that, then just drop Gallo from this deal lets focus on getting him.

Hartenstein, Hou's 2021, 2023 and 2025 2nds to Mem for Crowder. This is giving Mem the most value they could get outside a 1st. 3 seconds, with 2 being after Harden/WB expire, a prospect in Hartenstein, and then a 6.4 mill TPE / cap savings.

Hou keeps Shump and Nene S&T options available. Keeps its 2020 & 2022 1st, keeps Fraizer, Chiozza, Clark for fillers, still has all of its cash and TPE's to further improve the team if the opportunity arises.

Westbrook / Rivers
Harden / Gordon
Crowder / Green
Tucker / House
Capela / Chandler

With news of Tilman wanting to avoid the tax, cheaper options like just Crowder look more likely.

Not only is Crowder cheaper financially, but he's a better fit IMO, as he's the better shooter and fits our age group perfectly.

Also, the news isn't Tilman wanting to avoid the tax, it's wanting to avoid paying essentially 37 million dollars for IGGY... on top of whatever assets Mem is trying to ask for. Him wanting to avoid that is 100% logical considering Iggy's 36, can't shoot and is expiring / potentially retiring after this season.
