i worry about mitch picking up bad habits during SL. the first two games were awful with him blocking obvious goaltends. pretty lazy with a lot of cheap fouls. sets **** screens.

i do like this guy wooten.
knox still taking some dumb, step back 3s that are stupid as ****. but good move to the basket. just needs 5-10 lbs more of muscle. i liked that he made a nice move near the rim versus last year when he'd throw up stupid ****

The coaches need to ban Knox from taking that step back 3. Not sure of the percentage but I bet he shoots extremely low on that type of shot.

toronto will still be a PO team.
lowry, van fleet, OG, siakam, ibaka, gasol
that's still a solid PO team. not championship, but still nice. just a bit old. wonder if they're gonna look to make moves with lowry, ibaka, and gasol, and going full rebuild with OG, van fleet, and siakam

it's just annoying that there's NOBODY on the planet who shoots that at even a decent clip, yet knox continues to shoot those. it's very JR Smith-esque, which is not someone you want to follow in the footsteps of.
he removes that from his "repertoire" and he'll be a lot better.

All the kids nowadays want to be James Harden and don't get it's a bad shot and he's the only one on the planet who makes that on a good clip.

Al Harrington was nice. Was just in a bad situation here
Free candy Al Harrington? He was one of the worst Knicks to put on a uniform. He was worse than Knox, especially because he was a veteran.
No IQ, and no concept of team baaketball
1. Al Harrington was bad
2. Al Harrington was bad because he wasn't efficient, gunned and didn't play D
3. Still, Al Harrington was more efficient than Knox has shown thus far. Al Harrington became a really good 3pt shooter... similar to how Knox is projected.
4. Knox is not yet as good as Al Harrington was and I don't see him becoming much better. I see Knox as Al Harrington. Best case scenario, he turns into Tobias Harris if his shot making goes through the roof.

Nobody can replicate the magical time of Al Harrington with the Knicks. The Free Candy van, No Sharrington, losing games by hanging on the rim. I don’t think Knox can ever get to that level

Ha was a frustrating watch during those years
I just wish Knox would learn how to distribute the ball more. He’s really developing tunnel vision

Re: Summer League Thread // Schedule Released: Zion vs RJ July 5th
i've said it before and pretty much feel as cap does. He has the tools to be a big time scorer (the stroke is pure and he has the body to be able to finish strong at the rim.
But something just isn't all there. His decision making is slow and his impact overall to the game especially when his shot isn't falling is extremely limited.
Where do you play him as well? He is too slow footed to be a SF especially on the perimeter and he's not a good enough rebounder and physical enough to play the 4. His defensive impact is negative and his handle for being considered a perimeter player is poor.
I think he's one of those guys that will be able to score 15+ in his sleep but overall the net impact will not be positive because of the areas in his game which is desperately lacks that I just don't think you are to just improve over time.
He's got a long way to go...I don't see it.

I thought same week, too.
Nope, back to back months tho. Both lost the game

Exactly. He's a much better shooter and defender. That's why he's the ceiling of who Knox can become.

well that's confusing.
knox won't become the defender harris came in as. harris, as a rookie, is better than knox will ever be defensively.
i just don't see the comparison. i get it from a positional standpoint - too slow for SF, but not strong enough for PF, so the hope is that he will outplay the guy guarding him. but i don't think knox will ever be anywhere what harris will be, and that's thinking optimistically.
