This is the best news we've had since the AD trade. Literally.

Now, we just need confirmation that CP3 is albatross untradeable, and we need Melo to lose his remaining basketball skills in the divorce...

I thought he was the name that would not be mentioned?....

This would be the perfect team for him. He could play 55-60 regular season games, play 28-32 MPG, start and play all non LeBron minutes as the main ball handler. He's not quite a star anymore, but he's still really, really good. I'd rank him as a Top 25-30 NBA player.

Lebron, Kawhi, PG13, AD, Kyrie, Jimmy, Russ, Harden, Giannis, Steph, Embid, Simmons, Kemba, Aldridge, Blake, Klay, Draymond, Beal, KD, Lillard, Jokic, Derozan, Luka, Conley, Mitchell, Gobert, Olidapo, Towns, Brogdon, Middleton, Russell

All go over CP

I think I agree with you there for the most part. With Paul, I'd argue he impacts winning more than guys like Blake, Draymond, Russ, Towns, Russell, etc. But there's no question those guys you listed are better players/more talented.

If you get Paul on a minimum deal, that's an absolute steal. Would I pay $40M for him for 3 years? Eff no. But on a minimum deal followed by a MLE, that's a huge bargain and something you don't complain about.

If it came down to both staying healthy and you having the mle ... who do you pay, Cousins or Paul?

Oh boy.

That's tough. Would totally depend how the season goes and which version of Boogie we get. I'd lean Boogie, but I do think it's a lot harder to find a ball handler who can score off ball screens (and pass/defend a pretty high level) than a big man. However, if Boogie returns to 80% of what he was.. then it's a completely different predicament.

Giannis was able to get one bother a two year deal with the Bucks and the other a minor league contract with the Lakers. He has almost accomplished Lavar Ball's dream.

We might want to trade a few offense-only guards and maybe Rondo for Iggy or another established wing vet. We have enough combo guards. I wish we could trade KCP.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.
