Reggie Bullock Re-worked contract

Post#1 » by GreekAlex » Tue Jul 16, 2019 4:13 pm

How bad were his medicals that he went from a 2 year $20M deal to a 2 year $8.2M that has the second season as a team option???

At $4M/ season, I would have loved to have him back on the Pistons.

Is there anymore info about the specifics of what caused them to re-work the contact?

Plantar fascitis and neck spasms were what was reported at the time.

That and he's never fully healthy, ever.

It's bizarre. I've never seen anything like this. Who is Bullock's agent?

The injury bug hit him again at the worst time. Marcus gets paid while Reggie gets a taste. Hope he gets healthy.

Did somebody finally have info on what the red flags were? Everything I read was pretty evasive on what the red flags actually were...

But its a tough break for Reggie. Relatively speaking, he's never really made much money. He's a likable guy, that knows his role and doesn't try to play outside himself.

Glad to see the Knicks will still have enough forwards.

Wonder how many of these guys will still be Knicks by the time the trade deadline passes.

Signing that many power forwards was one of the most bizarre off-season’s for a team in recent memory.

I am definitely curious as to the long term plan for the log jam of power forwards in New York

I believe most of them are team options on year 2, so no long term plan. I think they’re hoping they’ll have trade value.

Other than Randle. He’s probably in the long term plans. He did a 3 year deal.

Reggie apparently had surgery today for a 'cervical disc herniation.'

Assuming this is a basis for the pay cut.

They're kind of stealth tanking while simultaneously trying to get value from them in the hopes they become bargains for playoff contenders looking for less minute depth. They've become essentially their own market for trade pieces by hoarding them. Pretty low risk how reward move since they're not making any noise this year.
