Congrats on your nomination Mike, and a whole slew of others for the show!

I was surprised to not see Caleel Harris nominated. Thought he was excellent throughout (most were).

The cast was great. I thought Jharrel Jerome was on another level though. His performance tore me up.

This would have ruled. Flanagan, you wuss:

Speaking with THR about the Haunting of Hill House ending, Flanagan reveals an alternate conclusion that was originally planned, one that would have ended things
Spoiler:
on a much more depressing note:

“We toyed with the idea for a little while that over that [ending] monologue, over the image of the family together, we would put the Red Room window in the background. For a while, that was the plan. Maybe they never really got out of that room. The night before it came time to shoot it, I sat up in bed, and I felt guilty about it. I felt like it was cruel. That surprised me. I’d come to love the characters so much that I wanted them to be happy. I came into work and said, ‘I don’t want to put the window up. I think it’s mean and unfair.’ Once that gear had kicked in, I wanted to lean as far in that direction as possible. We’ve been on this journey for 10 hours; a few minutes of hope was important to me.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Definitely an incredible performance and his nomination is well earned.

Not trying to be contrarian. I don't like Stranger Things S3. Was hoping for more sci-fi/horror.

Loved listening to Kumail Nanjiani on a recent Bill Simmons pod. Love him in Silicon Valley and loved The Big Sick. Bautista wasn't on my radar until Guardians, but think he's hilarious. Gotta go see this movie, despite the kinda **** reviews.

Bautista was great in Blade Runner 2049. I went into Stuber thinking that it would be a movie where all the best parts were in the trailer but that’s not the case at all, the crowd was laughing so hard I want to see it again because I missed some of the jokes

Also they played this trailer last night looks pretty crazy lol

Congrats Supreme. I haven't seen it yet, because I don't have Netflix, but I will be watching it soon.

Saw Midsommar yesterday - weird movie that I'm not sure is especially good. There were several moments where me and my friend had to cover our mouths to keep from laughing too hard at how absurd some of the scenes were. It has a bizarre ending that isn't explained very well, either.

Yea I was out of mindless tv options and took this up per the recs. Two eps in and I'm digging it.
