Haha. Keep schemin, Froob, keep schemin. He wanted to go there in the first place, he won't leave.

Then why did he seem non committal? He doesn't need leverage, he's getting max money no matter what

Because there's no good reason for him to commit beyond this season at this point.

If the franchise feels like AD is a sure thing and will be back regardless, the ass-kissing he would receive will be put on the back-burner while everyone's french-kissing Lebron's log-cutter.

It's pretty evident he seen how Kawhi was treated for a year in Toronto, and he wants the type of adoration and ass-kissing Kawhi got. I'm pretty sure this is nothing but a power-play by Lebron and Rich Paul, brain-washing AD into being their puppet.

Or Lebron sustaining a serious injury.

Why, commit to a situation with little guarantees to long term success. Lebron is just looking to get one more title at any cost.....

when you make the money they do, the income tax is worth the perfect weather...can you tell where you saw the homeless camps in Brentwood, Hollywood Hills, or in WestLake Village (where AD currently resides). I am really curious to know where you saw these camps, maybe you can submit this story to the LA Times...

I've lived in the LA area. I'd rather stay in South Florida. For the quality of life. Everything is better here.

Lol at the click bait title. You can't refuse something that has yet to be offered. I highly doubt the've had any chance to negotiate an extension so I don't see where the "refusal" part comes in.

I would love for him to come back home to Chicago. It's even tattooed on his arm! The only thing is that when he was first interviewed in LA, the first words out of his mouth were "the weather here is incredible!". It seems he really enjoys being in LA.

Prediction....injuries and disappointing season find him wanting yet another change in venue. AD is a sensitive nice guy....and that's not the kind of guy that survives the LeBron world.
Warriors trade D-Lo for AD (including possible picks etc to make it work).

If lebron goes down..AD will have a worst supporting cast than when he was on the pelicans...

Man if AD leaves it would be the most hilarious thing in the NBA, LA gives up a ton to trade for him instead of signing him in free agency next year and then he leaves anyway.

I'm not sure of all the rules around it but I know players can sometimes sign an extension before their contract expires. Lillard just re-signed with Portland this year for 4 more years and he still has 2 years to go on his old contract.

Yeah and apparently he said he didn't have interest in coming home. This was before the trade though. Maybe if bulls overachieve this year he'll reconsider

He's not likely to go elsewhere. Still though, that's interesting.

Before he was traded, Rich Paul said that they were going to experience free agency and he was probably going to sign short contracts, and sign a 10ywar vet max in 2022.

If they don’t make the playoffs or lebron breaks his leg he will probably leave. Otherwise, stay on 1+1 deal.

I dunno if this is true. He left a Pelicans team that had Jrue and would have made the playoffs (they did the year before) he has also made it clear in interviews he is worried about his legacy and wants to compete for titles.

I think the threat is more real then Laker fans realize if the Lakers don't make a deep run and he doesn't feel Lebron can be his robin then there is a better then decent chance he leaves and teams up with another star. It will be interesting to watch anyways.

He wants to play in a big market. Zion + Jrue would be a good supporting cast already and he had no interest in staying.

Like I said, he may leave if LeBron breaks his leg.

The irony if Zion ends up being a LeBronesque player, and LeBron continues to decline while causing turmoil for the Lakers.

Davis would look like a fool.

No, Rob Pelinka will look like a fool because he just mortgaged the Lakers future for this.

I mean at least if he leaves, he will go back to being one of the best players in the league. Seems like since LA traded for him, he went from a top 5 player to a fringe allstar.

Yes, because you and most of the people on this board (including me) are regular people. Your dollar goes alot further there. However, for someone with 100M+ in contracts, endorsements, LA is a better place to be (IMO), from houses that sit on hills that over look the city or ocean, to girls (alot of big cities can provide this), and the opportunities to expand your brand (tv, movies, tech etc)
