NBA Live back in the day was on point with their ratings, too bad they fell off a cliff.

Now 2K has a monopoly and can just recycle their **** game, making more money through VC purchases.

I’m officially done with 2K. It’s recyoed as others have mentioned and it’s all ‘pay to play’. I played MyTeam where you collect the cards and there are legends and historical cards, etc.

It’s just not the same anymore. No real benefit from playing and as I’ve gotten older just haven’t had the time. 2k19 was my last 2K purchase and I think I’m officially done with Video Games.

Does anyone remember his rating when 2k19 first launched?

It was 77 LOL, and by the playoffs, he reached 85 OVR.

Expect Spicy to finish with an 88 at least by next playoffs, 2K always gets sonned by Siakam

Only the names with the blue checkmark next to them have been updated. Siakam's rating hasn't been updated.

They do it by raw stats. They don't really care about advanced stats and I'm sure there's a good reason behind it as many are subjective.

Lin over Powell is atrocious when you think about it, but when judging by raw stats over the course of the season like EA does, 6th highest rated on the team is probably where you would've expected him to be.

It's also why FVV is so much lower than you'd expect. They do not have a recency bias at all (which in this case is ridiculous). They take into account stats from the entire season and playoffs and FVV by those metric didn't have a great season. They leave the emotional aspect of FVV coming through clutch for us in the Finals out of it.

FVV overachieved in the playoffs and the 76 rating is fair IMHO. With that said, Robert Horry, one of the greatest playoff performers who had record performances in the playoffs had a rating of 74 for NBA 2K19.

They do take into advanced stats because Westbrook is only rated a 90 even though his raw numbers are crazy. The issue is they don't pay attention to the mid tier and lower tier players in detail.

Who cares about these ratings, we all know we're getting the same rehashed garbage again riddled with predatory pay-to-win tactics. Do yourselves a favour and boycott this garbage

The Horry 74 rating is a single season rating with the Lakers not the overall of Horry at his best. The ratings in 2K have become very situational, they have 98 overall rating editions for scrubs.

2k ratings are a joke. If you are an exciting player, you get boosted hard. If you hit three 3's a game on 30% (not good) you will be rated as a "good 3pt shooter".

Giannis at 96 is a joke if you want to be realistic. No 3 pt shot. Average ft shooter. 96 SHOULD be a near perfect player. Since stats dont go over 99, there is no way the rest of his stats offset his terrible shooting enough to have an overall of 96.

Kawhi, KD, LBJ (when engaged on defence) are the only players who should be above 95.

Guys like Steph, Harden, AD, PG, RW, Giannis etc... should be like 88-94.

But then no one would buy the game lol.
