Before you get mad because you get dumped by Westbrick

Lets talk for real !

Chris Paul is a great point guard and he will be easily an upgrade over any our PG. He doesn't need to play all the 82 games.
He is a general in the floor who will set perfectly the play for our players. He will take away a lot of pressure on Jimmy Butler.
he can teach our Tyler Legend Herro few tips about how to ball handling like an all star (yes i know he was not selected for the last all star, he is still an all star).
Once Harden got injuried, CP3 was there and played great, the Rockets were still winning. I already said it i am sure it doesn't help Harden to get that MVP trophy because people were assuming that the rockets without him were trash, CP3 proved them wrong.

Image

He doesn't mean i like all the aspect of his games. I have always admired his ball-handling, high ball IQ BUT i will be totally transparent with you i hate his flopping. For the little story, i even got banned from GB after i posted a gif where he was flopping. If i remember good, it was an action between Chalmers and Cousins, people went crazy about on GB. I just said it's funny how Cousins complained about CP3 flopping but he learnt very fast i see :reporter:

Anyway,
Do you think we are shooting ourselves like goodboy with that trade ?

It depends on what it costs to acquire him. As long as it's only contracts we want to dump, I'd take him.

No youngins' surrendered, get a pick or two back, and move some combination of Waiters, JJ, Olynik, and/or Dragic, yep, I'm down.

I don't see any way that we'd give up anything more than jettisoned contracts to get him. As most have said, OKC would have to get us something back to take his deal off their hands.

I love CP3 as a player, but that contract is massive. The more I think about it though, I feel as if its very movable that last year, if we needed to make a move for a star. It'd be much easier to bite the bullet on one year for a team looking to get assets back.

I voted yes. I'd like him here more than Russ. If he breaks down, he breaks down. If he performs at the level he was capable of, the level he showed last year, then he's going to make this team quality. There's a helluva lot of difference in having Goran getting you the ball, and having a wizard doing the same.

Having said that, OKC has to give assets to take his contract. If not, we roll with what we have.

Do not want. Say good bye to other free agents in 2021 if we get CP3. Good bye for a 36year old then.

Butler and CP3 will be as good as it gets (not good enough) before we have to rebuild without either. Butler is already 30!

I'll take a 5% chance at Beal (or any other max player under 30) in 2021 over the declining mediocre mess of a team that a CP trade would create.

Is it too much to ask to not have one of, if not the highest payroll in the league for a non contending team?

That Chris Paul contract weighs more than Summer League Zion.

If Riley can unload Dragic, Waiters, Johnson straight up for Chris Paul, he should just go for it. As others have said, Paul is a force multiplier, he will make Herro, Winslow, and Bam better. He will put us in contention for home court in the playoffs. The ceiling could be Eastern conference finals. And if we can get to eastern conference finals, anything can happen when you have two legit stars on the roster. 2021 is a pipe dream. Pull the trigger, Riley.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Yep. Id say Jimmy adds 5 wins to last years squad. A healthy CP adds at least that. Wed push 55 wins IMO. Then let trader Pat figure out how to handle that PO when we get there.

I voted NO. At this point with Beal having interest with the Heat that has cap space in 2021, its a big no.
CP3 will earn $44m in his 3rd yr at age 37, thats terrible! Massive over pay for an injury prone with character issues.

But a deal giving back the Heats picks (2021 & 2023) plus taking on Waiters, JJ & Dragic for CP3 alone, I think its a deal Riley should consider especially if Riley can convince CP3 to opt out to the final year of his contract. The trade got Miami picks back to use in future trade or draft players plus getting out of the tax the coming season should be consider.

Does Beal have interest in the Heat or do the Heat have interest in Beal?

same here Cp3, was the best PG for years before Curry. He's a great shooter overall, especially from mid-range(elite) & he can make his FTs(We are one of the worst FT shooting in the LG) unlike Goran. Cp3 assist/TO ratio is one of the best. But damn..that contract.
