it certainly helps a player understand rotating and learning to play help defense. zone requires 5 guys to play as 1 and the same thing applies to a good man defense.

How much more valuable are 2nd round picks now, compared to 10 years ago? Seems like the top end talent in the lottery is similar, but the depth throughout the draft has gone up significantly.

I am wondering if he has any PG play in him. Seems to have a good TO/ASST ratio and with the way the NBA is going position less I could see Culver and him playing well together in the back court. Maybe this could happen in summer league?

Now if he is a straight up wing it going to be hard to find him any minutes without injuries/trades. He might be a guy who shines in the D/G league.

I like the pick and hopefully it's the start of bring in some shooters.

He reminds me somewhat of a guy like E'Twaun Moore

We really need someone who can make clutch shots with irrational confidence. Last year we were afraid to take 3pt even good ones. I hope that Nowell can be that man.

Any player 6'4" or shorter should try to develop some point guard skills. Hopefully Josh Okogie can as well. If players want minutes they need to be able to play at least 2 positions.

I think Thybulle will turn out solid. . And you're on point that players from Washington haven't experienced the best of NBA success since Brandon Roy was still around.

All of those guys played under Lorenzo Romar who was one of the biggest underachievers in college basketball. Mike Hopkins just finished his 2nd season so we’ll see if that trend changes

Are they wearing different shirts to avoid people thinking they are twins? Doesn't look like he's got the same reach Okogie does anyway.

Ladies and gentlemen do we have another player height conspiracy on our hands with Nowell? We all know about the whole Culver thing (he's close to 6-7 in shoes), was listed at 6-4 I believe when the college season started. Nowell is listed on the wolves site as 6-4 on the wolves site, Obi Wan Okogie is listed at 6-4 as well, and I believe I've seen him listed at 6-5 on a site or two. I'm scouring to see the image I saw yesterday when the two were standing next to each other and Nowell looked a good inch taller than Okogie.

The picture below isn't actually the one I'm talking about but you can kind of see it. Nowell is slouched over a bit and Okogie is standing up really straight.

Image

This isn't the one either, but you can kind of see it here too. Nowell looks like a longer, taller athlete than Okogie.

Conspiracy!!!

Okogie was wearing thicker shoes at the combine.
Nowell: 6' 3.25'' / 6' 4.25''
Okogie: 6' 3'' / 6' 4.5''

As for length:
Nowell: 6' 7.25''
Okogie: 7' 0''

In the court photo Nowell looks taller from foot to knee. Okogie looks longer from the waist up, and also looks to have a few inches or more in the arms themselves than Nowell. I all of a sudden have an odd desire to watch a frankenstein movie.

In the gym photo with all 5/6 players, they each look like they've had enough that day of whoever is talking.

Any update on if he's going to play? I know it's glorified pick up but I want to see how he moves with the ball and how his shot, attacking abilities and passing off of that attacking looks.

Have same question. I hope he will be signed for multiyear deal with non guaranteed 2nd, 3rd years.

I honestly wonder if he'll end up as our second two-way deal.
