I didn’t know that James Wiseman and RJ Barrett are close.

What I’d do to have those two as the franchise cornerstones of the Knicks.

I think we'll look surprisingly deep at every position next season. In which case BPA should be the motto.

It feels much better to talk about the upcoming college season and draft knowing we have our picks.

It's hard to get excited about a draft that most talent evaluators (professionals) are calling thinner than last year's.

My hope is that the Knicks put together a decent season, make the playoffs or fall just short, and draft someone who knows how to play, albeit without star potential. At a certain point, we need to stop drafting multi-year "projects"

You're referring to the 2021 draft? Which talent evaluators have been saying this

Which draft do the High School players make it into? 2020 or 2021?

2021 seems to be the year

People seem to be saying 2022, but I have heard possibly 2021. Definitely not 2020

2022 at the earliest,

https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2021-nba-draft

but Silver was quoted a couple of months ago as saying 2022 was likely.

Yeah, it's why I asked, as the date seems to go back and forth from 2021 and 2022.

The NBA has the capacity (as far as I understand) to (unilaterally) change the rule however they like. However, the things I've read over the past 9 months have all take 2022 as the earliest - with it also being the likeliest. But, obviously, I could have missed articles and I'm pretty sure there is no official decision yet.

I haven't really begun my research for next years draft but I just have s feeling that Mitch is gonna be that guy for us. Maybe not from an offensive standpoint where hed a featured player but with RJ being a playmaker and all I think those two might end up our cornerstones for a long time. It's just crazy that Mitch garners more faith than any of our previous 1st round picks.
