ESPN power ranking has us 16th, while 538 gives us 36 w.

So both have us slightly below average, within 3 games of each other. I never pay much attention to those. They love doing them and it’s risk free becabuse nobody checks to see if they were right.

538’s rankings are awful.

sportsbooks have the OU between 36.5-37.5 and project us 9th in the East behind the Magic.

Think that seems right. If healthy like last season we are a 500% team. So basically if you bet the over you're betting Blake plays most the games this season.

Not saying i agree with all of 538s projections but they picked the raptors to win last season which is impressive.

I dunno if that's all that impressive. Maybe if they predicted that Durant would miss the whole series basically and Klay would miss alot of the series then I'd be impressed

Is predicting that a 59 win team that added Kawhi would win really that impressive?

Well everyone else predicted the warriors by huge margins.

Not to say they are perfect by any means. They use a computer model which spits out a few funky results from the algorithm.

When I think of where I was in my life the last time we won a playoff game I get sad. :(

I think the bench is much better than last year, so I think we pick up a few wins from that. Of course, it's really just a bet on Blake's health. If he's mostly healthy, we're in that 5-8 range. If he's hurt for any significant amount of time, we miss the playoffs.

I'm sure that sentiment is shared by a lot of us around here.

11 freakin years since this team has won a playoff game. That's one single game, let alone a series.

I think everyone else would have been right if GS was at full strength. Neither Klay nor KD had injury histories that would have predicted they would have been out. You know what they say about broken clocks....

Seems like we want to do this every year. i'll say somewhere around .500 guessing as to injury and such. Of course, it could be much worse or better depending on luck with injuries or somebody(ies) making unexpected progress. There's always the potential impact of trades. These are always a WAG (wild ass guess).

Easy under for me. Chicago and ATL could pass us this year. Miami might still get Paul. I could see us sell Griffin at the trade deadline.

Fewer wins than last year since there is so much talent spread around. Every game on those west coast road trips will be UGLY. They will be desperate for wins to keep up in playoff rankings there.

East looks much better than last year: Miami and Atlanta look good for starters.

Griffin was very healthy last year. If he misses 3-4 weeks from a random tweak the team will be the 10th seed or worse in the East.

If it gets hurts hopefully it’s early, then comes back looking good to get moved at the deadline to get the tank going.
