Real deal, future all star. Obviously I’m not saying he’s going to be Trout but Hiura’s swing reminds me of Trout’s. Short, compact, fast, and powerful. He’s smashing the ball right now.

I love Hiura and am excited for him, just to be clear. But to provide the counter here...

At least in his first time up, his defense was legitimately awful. He has a lot to work on in the field to just be neutral.

He has time. And his bat is unreal. Again, love him.

I had no idea until today that Hernan Perez accepted his assignment to AAA. That's pretty unusual.

He loses his MLB salary if he didn’t accept.

Random comment: I can't believe the Giants are in the mix for a Wild Card.

I know they generally were "win now" in the past even when it was a bit foolish, but they probably have taken a turn going into this year. That said, it could really disrupt the trade market (and make it even more of a seller's market) if they hold on to MadBum, Will Smith, etc.

Hiura is named NL player of the week! The first Brewers rookie ever to receive this honor.

I have a hard time watching baseball continuously for long stretches, but watching Keston and Yelich hit has become appointment television. They both have such great swings and hit the ball so hard so often, that they're true joys to watch in the batter's box.

Trading Aguilar is a no-brainer.

From what I saw, the assumed Rays trade would involve MLB-for-MLB players.

What can the crew realistically get for aguillar? it'd be a sell low type deal for them. I'd do it for a lower level high updside prospect.

Well, here's the issue:

A different tweet has suggested that the Brewers are only going to move him for current MLB help most likely. If that's the case, I'd guess a decent, similarly-controlled reliever would come back in return.

If they did deal him for something other than that, yeah, maybe a low-level somewhat-high upside prospect would be what I'd shoot for and would be attainable.

Looks like the Mets are willing to move Syndergaard.

Having a great time reading the guy on bf.net that wouldn't trade Hader for Tatis Jr., Paddack, Gore and Mejia.

LOL I imagine the Brewers would at least trade Hader for Tatis Jr. and maybe even Gore straight up. No way SD gives up Tatis Jr. though.
