two trades by the deadline that I like:

GSW gets: Goran Dragic, Tyler Herro
MIA: Draymond Green, Jacob Evans, Omari Spellman

GSW gets: Robert Covington, Gorgui Dieng, unprotected '20 first
MIN gets: De'Angelo Russell

draft Scottie Lewis

go into next season with:

Steph / Poole
Klay / Herro

Lay off the goon sack Clyde, both of those trades are dreadful, especially the 1st one. Yuck.

We gon suffer big time. No depth at all, actually worse off than this upcoming year. And depth is the only way I’d trade Dlo or even Draymond.

Dieng as the 4? Maybe if it was 2008

It doesn't matter he's still a beast and showed it when he got his body right at the back end of the year. The guy is an ALL TIME defender, and best of this decade by all standards and metrics, plus he's a winner that drives the players around him.

Herro? I'm sure he'll be a nice player, but FFS it's Draymond Green.

Im a big fan of Herro, and hes a perfect fit for this system and this cast

and I dont think being sentimental about dray is the best strategy here, his best days are behind him let's be honest.

We will never win another championship if this is the best we can do after moving both DLo and Green. And we gave up Evans and Spellman? Just too much for a year of Dragic and hoping Herro works out and that Covington can stay healthy. Who the hell is Scottie Lewis? Dieng? Ouch. I don't like this idea.

i disagree, all of his metrics have been dropping going on 4 years now, his PER, VORP, BPM, WS etc. are all the worse they've been since his first couple of years in the league

how much do you think dray is worth on the open market in terms of trade? if you think you can do better than Herro by all means.

also Lewis is one of the prospects I really like in next years class, perfect wing for us.

If Dray asks for the max, then I agree, we gotta move him. He'll be a bad contract in the last year or two of that contract. But if he is willing to take a reasonable extension, then he's one of those players who is worth more to the Warriors than to other teams.

But if we were to trade Draymond, we better hope that Paschall or Looney are ready to take that starting job at the pf position. We will feel the affect of losing Draymond severely.

I've proposed the trade of Aaron+Ross for DLo+fillers+picks before. I like that trade a lot but don't know if Orlando would even do that.

Is BRK willing to part ways with Joe Harris?

like I said previously, if Dray agrees to the 4/100 extension we keep him, but I would not pay him his max given where he projects the next four years tbh...its always better to trade players a year early than a year too late...even if it means a hit in the short term...we have 3 titles it's time to start planning for the future around Steph/Klay...

i also like the DLo for Gordon package I proposed that a while ago.

Oh, okay, I haven't really kept track of the thread. Do you think Orlando would add Ross to that deal? Ross comes off the bench for that team. Would like him for depth.

I had an idea of sending Draymond to BRK for Joe Harris and fillers since they lack a true starting power forward. But I doubt KD would want that, heh.

But if we can do that and send DLo to Orlando our team would be stacked. But this is just daydreaming.

Steph/Evans(unless used for filler)
Klay/Poole
Joe Harris/Terrance Ross
Aaron Gordon/Paschall
Looney/Smailagic/Spellman(unless used for filler)

Get Iguodala next summer for a team friendly contract or vet. minimum. Use whatever money we have in the MLE or TEs, etc to get a solid back up pg and maybe traditional center and the team is set like crazy.

Steph/Backup Pg/Evans
Klay/Poole
Joe Harris/Terrance Ross/Iguodala
Aaron Gordon/Paschall/Spellman
Traditional Center/Looney/Smailagic

Return to Golden State Warriors
