The BABIP gods have blessed Stroman's probable final start.

This is actually very good; every single player who has been mentioned in trade rumors that is playing today has done excellent.

If the Tigers doubled their win total they would still be under .500. They have less wins than Baltimore right now.

I like where Vladdy is right now. Keep him in that 5th or 6th spot in the lineup. An ideal hitter for this spot has raw power, a good on-base percentage, and can hit to all fields. He will see better picthes to hit as well.

If he heats up for weeks then move him up in the lineup. Since he's still young and raw keep him there for now. Let's see how he does. Now he did face some pretty bad pitching last night against the Tigers. I hope Montoyo isn't like Gibby where the lineup changes all the time. I'd like to see some consistency from him.

It's not always easy to tell how warm the environs of the game might be. Thornton looks like he's been immersed in a 100C pot for 20 minutes.

Eric Sidney Sogard
He cranks out singles with no regard
He even occasionally goes yard
We signed him outta the junkyard
His goggles are arguably avant-garde.

Fangraphs has Vlad at a negative WAR (-0.1) and a 95 wRC+. Talk about an underwhelming debut for a 80 hit tool prospect.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

There has been way too much pressure put on him.

I agree. How many 20yrs have had this much pressure put on them? Expecations are high. Feel for the kid but I think he'll be fine. Looks like he's having a ton of fun out there. I think he ends this season strong and he hopefully stays healthy.

I also want to see Bichette up here in the majors. Send Biggio to AAA he's struggling right now.
