If he does or doesn't re-sign it has more to do with playing next to Lebron than anything the front office is up to... if he and Lebron gel and they have a good season he'll sign up long term.. If he ends up being reduced to a Chris Bosh type role or Kevin Love type thing goes on he'll be thinking about someplace else to play.

The FO has brought him in, they've filled out a roster that from all reports Lebron and AD had a good deal of input into. At this point the pressure is now on the players and coaches. The FO has pretty much done about all they could do to put these guys in position to succeed

Any responsible leader in Pelinka’s supposed predicament of being squeezed between the Lakers and Klutch would do one and the same thing; tell Klutch nicely what’s up. He’s hired by the Lakers to put the best team possible behind/around LeBron. That’s his responsibility. It’s in LeBron’s best interest that Klutch doesn’t interfere with Pelinka’s elbowroom to operate. He should be very clear that the Lakers are not their dumping grounds for uncompetitive contracts. It wouldn’t be in LeBron’s best interest, obviously, so I think all of this goes unspoken because it’s pretty self evident stuff to the peeps involved. There’s too much at stake for it not to be.

At this point our FO and GM have decided to go all in on LBJ/AD/Klutch partnership.... And I totally understand, we can't be one foot in and one foot out... Either they empower our superstars a bit and give them a voice or don't. I'd rather give Bron and AD voices in the room and fill out the surrounding roster with guys they'd feel will compliment their games and Pelinka's okay with it. Especially with AD in his contract year. We need to keep that generational talent around longterm.

Give them a voice or don’t? Of course we should empower our two superstars. But I don’t see how that means Pelinka has to suck Klutch **** forever. He still needs to hold his own against Klutch based on his employment terms with Jeannie. Let’s keep it that way because it’ll keep Klutch from ruining the Lakers.

I dont see anyway that he gets reduced to the "Bosh/Love" role because both of those guys were third options. AD is going to be either 1B or the second option. Either way, expect monster numbers from him this year, imo.

Rob painted us in to this corner - now our only recourse is doing anything and everything to keep AD happy.

Yep the guy gambles way too much for my liking, he did the same thing with Kawhii

I don’t know why Rob gets so much hate by everybody. I think he's doing a great job so far. Where I really want to see Rob shine is when LeBron retires and Klutch is no longer a major driving factor. That will be very interesting to see.

I think for those who think we have to do what Klutch say, they should consider why Klutch would’ve then not sweet talked Morris into the $41M deal. To show good faith? Point being, they’re all professionals who need to do their job well to keep earning the right to make bank.
