You really think he will shoot under 40%?

History isnt exactly on his side.

Monk is the best scorer on the current roster and I’m sure his per 36 minutes stats will reflect that but I believe Rozier will lead the team in points per game averaging around 18-20 ppg due to consistent extended minutes and the likelihood of having the highest usage rate.

The sleeper is Bacon.

And being surrounded by less talented players and coaches won’t help his case.

We have near zero data on Rozier getting consistent playing time as a starter during the regular season.

There’s splits. Last year Rozier averaged 13.1 points on 43% FG|41% 3P shooting, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assist, 1.0 turnovers, and 1.7 steals in 30.1 minutes per game as a starter during 14 games. His usage rate in those games was 18.4%. He was negative net of -2.6 as a starter and a negative net of -0.6 off the bench.

In 2017-18 Rozier averaged 15.6 points on 38% FG|39% 3P shooting, 6.4 rebounds, 5.1 assist, 1.6 turnovers, and 1.2 steals in 33.6 minutes per game as a starter during 16 games. His usage rate in those games was 22.7%. He was positive net of +7.0 as a starter and a positive net of +1.1 off the bench.

Would hope it would be Bacon, but it probably will be Rozier. I just don't know if any of the young guys will take a major step this year.

Going to go out on a limb here and say Monk has a breakout third season and ends up being our leading scorer.

I'm curious to see how Bacon operates in smaller spaces now that Kemba isn't on the floor with him. I think Monk is dark horse here. One, he rarely played with Kemba + 2 he can navigate small spaces and create more space than anyone on the roster. He has the quickest game. With space scarcity, his minutes go up and his usage goes up.

I don't see how Rozier isn't the focus of our offense with that insane contract we gave him, he'll probably get 15+ shots a game no matter what percentage he shoots at.

Bacon may very well be our best scorer but probably won't get the shots

There’s a reason for that… He’s not good enough to be a full-time starter on a halfway decent team.

You’re right, who can’t start over Kyrie??? He must be butt.

I’m sure you could actually beat him 1 on 1, there are still two roster spots up for grabs. Hurry and they might sign you.

What evidence do you have that Bacon will perform better than Rozier?
