R. Williams, G. Williams, Theis, Poirier, Ojeleye, Fall etc. are all role players at best and out of the league at worst.

A move needs to be made and Ainge knows it. If not this off-season then it definitely will be during the season depending on who is available.

Horford & Embiid against Kanter, R. Williams, G. Williams, Theis, Hayward and Poirier is a joke. Ainge knows this. Expect a move.

I think the problem is that literally anyone + Kanter is a serious problem defensively.

My new pet trade is some version of Kanter/Theis for Cody Zeller from Charlotte.

Zeller would be an excellent center for this team. Very strong all-around defender. Capable rebounder. Good screener. Solid roll man. Decent contract. Excellent chemistry with Kemba

Blake is a strong breeze away from limping for 3 months

The fact that he sold his house in San Diego and chose to live in Boston full time is good for 2 reasons:

1) he has full access to all of the Celtics trainers, coaches and practice facility all summer
2) he won't be using that **** trainer that worked with him while he was out in San Diego

Hayward sounds like he's pissed off about last season, and being blamed for last season's collapse is probably not sitting well with him.

I'm riding with Hayward. He's seen levels we hope we get from Tatum and Brown, plus the playmaking he has is better than Tatum or Brown will ever hope to get. Now if he can be confident and healthy enough to get back to that level that may be the difference in getting swept in 2nd rd vs actually challenging the Bucks or Sixers

You think he's pissed? I'm pissed having to read about it in every thread here over and over again. Really hoping he crushes it this year!!

Also means he isn’t headed to the Clippers next summer.

Yeah I’ll ride with Hayward too. Blake on another knee surgery (was unaware of this), yeah bit too risky let’s keep Gordon.

I wouldn't trade Kanter for Zeller straight up for each other. Zeller is an utter mediocrity in my eyes. At least Kanter is exceptional at rebounding, and he's a pretty decent scorer. I have a feeling the Kanter we'll be seeing is close to what he showed in the playoffs for Portland, which was much better than Zeller has been. Kanter also once put up 33 pts and 22 boards against Embiid and the Sixers. I'm hoping Brad can work some magic with him on the defensive end. We'll see.

The next guy that will get a richer contract next year thanks to Brad!
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I saw the same rumour. Does the start work or do the magic need to absorb the excess into space? I don't hate the move, it kinda frees up our logjam at the wing spot and we take a flyer on an athletic big man. How many years does Fournier have left on his deal

You want to trade a 14 & 5 guy in Brown for someone that averaged 6 & 5 to free up a log jam??? Use that guy in a trade to get a better player not someone elses trash!

I thought Issac for Brown may be a good fit for both rosters. Magic fans seem to think hes untouchable and a star in the making

Just to be clear... it's NOT a rumor. It's as made up as any trade idea we come up here.

Well... per 36min: 13.7 ppg 11 reb 3 blk

Kid was a rookie last year. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to pick-up a high-upside shot-blocker, who is cost-controlled an extra year than Brown. That is IF we can't come into agreement on a reasonable extension for Brown. I think the talk of potentially matching a max offer for him next off-season is insanity
The Truth hurts
