Hey, at least Velasquez sent out a confirmation less than ten minutes after the Woj tweet. Usually we don't see that kind of hard-hitting reporting from Matt for at least six hours after a Woj Bomb.

The best part of this move is Korver working with Giannis, that is surely going to help out his shooting woes

Honestly seeing his progress within the season last year it is apparent that the shooting coach we have now knows what he is doing.I now have a little hope for Giannis's shooting again.

I don't understand why people would be down on Giannis' shooting.

He absolutely choked from the line, no doubt. But his 3 pt shooting improved throughout the season and was quite reasonable in the playoffs. Probably the only positive in the ECF.

Simmons always notes on his pod how a good indicator of shooting potential is FT%. Giannis has been pretty good there and comparable to LeBron after his first six seasons. Now, LeBron was noticeably better from 3 already before getting above 33-34% consistently in his mid-to-late 20's, but I'm naively holding out hope for Giannis under that theory.

Give that man a Pulitzer.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

A tad slow on the closeout but overall moving well here. We also needed another guy that can shoot a contested J.

So who gets the last spot, JR or Bonzie?

I could see them leaving it open or having a camp battle with Bonzie and a few SL guys.

Bledsoe / Hill / Mason III
Wes / DDV / Sterling
Khris / Korver / Pat C.
Giannis / Ersan / Thanasis
BroLo / Rolo / DJ Wilson

Honestly I'd prefer we sign a backup big man vs JR. Our wing depth looks solid suddenly.

Allow me to chime in if I may. Disappointed, but not despondent. I have always been a big Kyle Korver
fan dating back to when Iverson took him under his wing. So congratulations on a good pickup. And surely,
he would have helped the Sixers fill part of the JJ Redick void. That said, there was always the risk that
our coach would have tried to replicate what he did with Redick, which resulted in almost unwatchable
basketball.

The more important point, in my opinion, is that I think that in head-to-head matchups Korver would have
helped the Sixers more than he will help the Bucks. We have upgraded our wing defense and, as a team,
are very long and athletic. So I think his effectiveness, since he's not a selfish player (i.e., doesn't force
shots), will probably be less against Philly than other teams.

Nevertheless, he's a great addition. After all, he's one of the greatest three-point shooters ever to play the
game. He ranks fourth on the all-time list. He's a coach's son and a high-character guy, and will probably
be able to make 3's when he's 60.

Good pickup.

Yes I do.

Could see Korver playing a significant role in small spurts making teams pay for packing the lane on Giannis. Even if he's not shooting there is the threat he could shoot whenever he is on the court.

And there probably isn't a better team in the league better equipped to hide him defensively.

If we signed Briante Weber it would guarantee a championship.

Who should we try for, for our last spot?

Apparently these are free agents are still available:

Jamal Crawford
Vince Carter
Thabo Sefolosha
Sean Kilpatrick Jr.
Shaun Livingston
Carmelo Anthony
Jonathon Simmons
Iman Shumpert
Lance Stephenson
Dwight Howard
Jeremy Lin
Trey Burke
JR Smith
Kenneth Faried

We of course can only afford a vet minimum I believe.

Given that we're already wasting a spot on the team I wouldn't mind us being patient with that last roster spot. Never know who might be available later in the season.

Korver's getting old, but it's a cheap deal and he is a great shooter obviously plus he was great playing for Bud. Hopefully, his defense isn't too much of a liability.
