Usually used for bad contract dumps along with picks. I don't think we want to take on long term money and I think we like Tyler. But sure, if the Wizards want to dump Beal or something, I'll take it. But we say this every year with expirings and they are usually useless, starting with Monroe's.

Yeah, same thing with Chandler and Rivers expiring contracts ... teams would have to send us crappy multi-year contracts and a draft pick to get Tyler and we don't want that. Expiring contracts are mostly overrated unless the team is in the first year of a rebuild (e.g., Grizz or the Nets and Cavs of the past). With Booker and Ayton on board it doesn't make sense.
That contract is really useful in trading for a disgruntled star. It would be TJ, maybe a young player, and pick. Any time a team has to move a star player, that is what they are looking for--an expiring, a young promising young player, and picks.

TJ + Oubre makes up $34.5m in outgoing salary. Blake Griffin salary is $34.5m. Just sayin'

That would be an ok trade but you are giving up flexibility and the 21 draft class and really going after a guy that isn't likely to be around when our guys hit their prime...but it would probably be fun if he was healthy. I don't really see Detroit doing it though since they can probably make the playoffs again or have a shot at it.

Just an idea of what having a good amount of moveable short term salaries for matching purposes could do. I don't know if Detroit is looking at moving Blake this season, probably not, but if they were, I'd imagine they'd be looking to drop his salary ASAP and some future assets. We are quite short on non-player assets though (picks)

We have all our own picks. That is plenty actually. Suns picks are really valuable because they are always high.

Damn, that shot is nice. Even if he isn't the most athletic guy (I don't know for sure, it's just something I've heard) a shot like that plus his playmaking ability will make him very valuable

He looks about as unathletic and slow as I expected he would be but boy can he shoot. He's got great fundamentals though and that shooting form is CLEAN.

Ty Jerome. He is a Steve Kerr/John Paxson type of player.

I'm fine with taking a low usage, high efficiency shooter/decision maker in the mid-20's

TJ + Kaminsky + Okobo for Love.

Calling it if we're hovering around .500 come December...
