I like both additions very much. Not only in terms of winning the games but in terms of making this a quality environment for young guys to develop. Both of them bring veteran leadership and work ethic something that young guys need.
Also contracts are not long so we keep financial flexibility in the future.

huge jj fan. you will not be disappointed. i have followed him since he was a freshman at duke and he has continued to get better every year. contrary to what some say, his defense is not that bad and his help defense is very good. he has become a very good passer and screen setter. his willingness to do all the little things makes him a very good nba player. he will make others around him better and set a great example for everyone. i will now be a big pelicans fan.

Congrats guys. It looks like you guys finally have a GM who knows what he is doing. Griffin has built a very well built team when it comes to fit, you guys should be really competitive from day 1, while also still allowing your young pieces to be right in the middle of it all so they can grow as your #1 and #2 option. Definitely a must watch team this year.

Think these were the best additions NO could make if you prioritize winning now and future flexibility.

I'd rather have Satoransky, Igoudala and the Warriors first rounder, but that is the A+ Free Agency.

This is the A

Jazz fan here to say you got a great player and greater person in Derrick Favors.

I have watched Derrick Favors as a season ticket holder during his entire tenure in Utah.

We LOVE Derrick Favors! I mean love, love, love!

Derrick represents everything that is good about basketball. He puts his his team first. He plays through injury. He is a TOP NOTCH defensive anchor! Derrick fights for every rebound and loose ball. He runs the floor. He sets effective picks and runs the pick and roll better than anyone Utah has had in the past 8 years.

This is a guy you can count on to give you his best effort every night. Mr. Consistent.

I'm not excited to see Derrick Favors in another uniform. I wanted him to be a Jazz man for life. You guys got a good one!

Like others have said, these are both fantastic acquisitions for the Pels.

JJ is perfect fit along side these young guys and can shoot the lights out.

Favors is an absolute professional who will help build a great team culture (along with Jrue and JJ) and bring it every night.
Sometimes a player's greatest challenge is coming to grips with his role on the team

The defense on this team is going to be ridiculous as NO has Ball, Ingram, Holiday, Williamson and Favors and with Favors, and Redick NO may have decent offense especially with Lonzo Ball’s passing ability

Both great additions and exactly the type of veteran presence that will help us make the playoffs. Starting a New Orleans sports podcast on PodBean called Cal and Jay if y'all are interested, posting a new pod each Sunday

we have crazy depth at the guard position. baring injury some birdgang members r gonna no see much floor time.

I see Zo-Jrue-JJ gettin the most creole cooking. That leaves Frank-NAWlins-Hart-Moore battling for
leftover smoothies.

prolly have to make a consolidation trade or two.

Gentry’s on the phone brb.

I think we can safely say Reddick and Favors were major blows by FO, but still I think great off-season due to Lakers trade and draft

it is hard to believe that after one
game you came to this astute deduction.
