He's talking to Ronny 2K and says he will end up with a 90 rating by end of year and then says all of these things he thinks will happen.

3rd year is usually when players really establish themselves in the league Tatum might win most improved player next year. And I wouldn't write off Celtics getting to the finals, now that kyrie and scary terry is gone.

What else is he supposed to say, i'm going to average 10 points, the Celtics will not make the play offs and i'll have a 75 rating? Would that be the correct answer? Leave the kid alone, let him play the season and see what happens.

And yes of course the Celtics won't win the title this season, nobody with a brain would expect that. But a player has to say he wants to win it all otherwise people question his motor.

I think it’s messed up that his motivation ends with a stupid video game.

Tatum must be buying the Wade legendary edition. That all sounds feasible with the extra 100,000 in virtual currency he’ll be getting for his myCareer.

“I’m going to average over 20ppg” was the first thing he thought of. Sounds like he caught Melo syndrome

I obviously disagree about the Finals but no problem with him saying that

Is NBA2k really the "king of the hill" status quo right now?

According to your logic, Tim Duncan doesn't deserve any respect.

Second thing. His 2k rating is obviously the most important.

In fairness though him scoring 20ppg this season is probably the most likely of the 4 things to happen.

Good call I missed the 2K comment the first time around. Not really helping his case

how about try and be humble and say you are just going to work hard and try to win as a team.

Taum/Brown/Rozier being ego maniacs and thinking they are great before proving anything was as big a problem as kyrie last year

Wait and see. You'll have the pleasure of having Kyrie on your team for a while so we'll wait and see, right?
Good assessment:

He has the talent to do it, I guess. Now it's just a matter of going out there and doing it.
