Where will Giannis play in 2021-22?

Very rarely do young stars stay after the first contract.

He's eligible for a contract after next season and if he doesn't sign maybe they trade him. Clippers, Lakers, and Rockets no longer have draft picks to trade so where will he end up.

I would think the Knicks might be the frontrunner.

Probably in Milwaukee for a supermax. Unlike domestic USA players, which have their hometowns (+college) and have a special view on NY, LA... etc... Foreign players often feel their first team and city as their US home. Even in the XXI century they in most cases stay loyal to the team which drafted them or where they spend most of their career, and if they don't have problems with a coach or playing time, they don't care if they play for the small-market team.

Giannis doesn’t seem like he cares about bright lights and the Bucks are the clear favorites in the East next year as is. I think he sticks around. They can’t afford to have any more cheap moves like letting Brogdon go though.

The owners specifically gave Horst an extension so that he wouldn't try to pull any big salary addition moves to 'swing for the fences' or feel the need to make a move to impress Giannis to keep his job. The Brogdan trade is last big move they make before they either trade Giannis or lose him. Horst will be in Milwaukee longer than Giannis is.
