I think I might have been able to get 15 and 6 for them at that point and I'm a 56 year old cripple.

Overall no complaint about Sampson as our 15th man on that min deal. Just don't let him get his hair cut or date a chick named Delilah (note: Biblical reference to "Samson" and Delilah for those of you who went to public schools.)

Interesting. I was expecting a PF/C rather than an SF/PF. Or an old vet regardless of position. He's been pretty serviceable for the whole of his career, I think. But he would likely get the fewest minutes of his career next season in Indy.

Sampson was an energetic 6' 9" defender that would make it difficult for perimeter guards.

He was very raw, but Brett Brown saw potential with his defense and effort.

I'm glad he is still getting a chance to find a role.

Good point. And the Pacers need perimeter defenders at the SF/PF positions.

No problem with this as a bottom of the roster guy.

If Dragan Bender is the wish, I don’t think that Anyone can be considered as a “trash” signing.

Bender may turn into something, but he’s been absolute trash thus far in the nba. Sampson probably isn’t fully guaranteed, but his perimeter defense is something that could be useful.

you aren't signing an all star for the minimum to sit at the end of the bench in street clothes.

Yeah Bender has been hot garbage for the Suns, maybe he can find something and become an NBA player but wow what a failed draft pick.

You might be young but the Clippers, Hawks, and event Cavs used to burn through lotto picks not too long ago.

The genera thread connecting all those teams and Phoenix was that they were valuing talent above all, and not accounting for work ethic, basketball iq, or the want to actually play basketball versus just enjoying a lot of money.
