These young guys won't rally around Kemba or anybody else. Like Tatum said, he wants to average 20, and he wants to do it by any means neccesary. Kemba will only make it more difficult for him. I expect the same type of disfunction on the court, with difference being that Kemba won't be as vocal about it as Kyrie was

I believe that a team absolutely has space for two 20 PPG scorers. I don't think that there will be any dysfunction between Kemba and Tatum and I definitely believe that Kemba can be very good for guys like Jaylen Brown.

Of course there is space available. Lots of it. You need not look far. The warriors have three 20ppg and above scorers. Ball movement and efficiency is the key.

Funny to see Celtics fans using the same strength they used to defend Kyrie in the past now to bash him. Boy, that was quickly.

It tells the story of how bad Charlotte was at drafting. This a list of their lottery picks after they picked Kemba.

PS: I'm not mentioning this year's draft because it's still too early for that.

this misses the point. you can certainly say kemba isnt to blame for the team not being good as they overall lacked talent. but failing to take bad teams to the playoffs still isnt evidence of being a winner

Take the player that Kemba is replacing for the Celtics as an example. Kyrie. He wasn't able to take a bad team to the playoffs until LeBron returned. He made the playoffs with LeBron and after 3 years he asked for a trade so he could lead his own team. He was traded to the Celtics a team that had already made the ECF without him the year prior. He played well in the RS but he got injured and missed the playoffs. The Celtics made the ECF again without him. He was healthy last season but the Celtics were worse than they were the two prior years. They regressed and they didn't make the ECF. They lost in the second round.

Has Kyrie taken a bad team to the playoffs? No, he hasn't. He only went to the playoffs when he played for good teams. And this season, he signed for another good team, the Nets. You don't need me to tell you that you were a good team last year or that you made the playoffs. You know this very well.

As for Kemba, he did make the playoffs in Charlotte twice. Once when they were still the Bobcats and once again as the Hornets. They even won 48 games the second time they played the playoffs but they got screwed in the 4-way tie of a very competitive Eastern Conference and got the 6th seed. The result is that they didn't have HCA in the first round and they lost in 7 games in the first round.

So what??? You don’t have to be an all time great to average 20ppg as teammates. Look at Lillard and CJ! Smh

Pre-lebron Kyrie was a teenager in his first few seasons in the league.

thats a bit different then a 30 year old kemba in the prime of his career. it is a poor comparison.

Kemba led the Bobcats to the playoffs in 13-14. He was still on his rookie contract (3rd year) and 23 years old at the time. He did take a bad team and put them in the playoffs, something that Kyrie has never done.

I understand the argument that Kemba should have Charlotte in the playoffs more often but the reality of the situation is that their FO was so bad (I don't know if it's MJ who runs things there or if it's someone else) that even 2 playoff appearances are an achievement.

Kemba didnt lead that team to the playoffs... jefferson did. he was a 22/12 all-star back then when scoring bigs still had an impact.

Fair enough. Kemba did post 18/6/4 that season but I do agree that Al's 22/11 was more impactful.

All three of the young guys were, and are the problem. The narrative that Kyrie was even a little at fault is incorrect. Feel better? FFS.

I do actually. Just even a little acknowledgement from BOS fans that it wasnt all Kyrie's fault goes a long way.

Baby steps.

Its not even close really. Kyrie is the far superuor player. Every single metric proves it.

Kyrie is closer to Lillard then Kemba is to Kyrie.

Just a daily reminder, Darth Celtic and I are still waiting to hear your thoughts on taking Kyrie over AD since by your logic AD is a career loser and Kyrie isn't.

You're just going to continue pretending you didnt see his post or my previous post?

did you miss my last 4 replies. its pretty simple:

-Losing doesnt necessarily mean you are a loser.
-you havent proved you are a winner by losing, you need to win first

the idea that Kemba is a winner/Leader with actually having won anything is the issue. not that he is terruble because he hasnt won, but the asumption he is some winner based on having never won jack is what i take issue with

I'm not going to bash Boston's talent because I think Tatum, Brown, Walker are good players but are any of them better than Lilliard and McCollum? Kemba over CJ at most.
