Beautiful. Great use of the final roster spot. Get him w Suki and in the Bucks developmental program. Get him w Bud and let him know he can let it fly. Still very young with good upside in there somewhere. Love it.

He’s always looked terrible and he probably is, but this is a no risk move with the possibility for moderate or high reward. As others have said, we have enough vets signed this offseason. Who else would we add? This is a good flier.

If he seriously sucks you can just move on next year. I’m sure they did two years just to sell him to come here - doesn’t mean we have to actually play him.

Funny thing is - when people were insisting Bender was a GREAT prospect, they also insisted he was so much better than Skita.

Bender was a GREAT prospect (pre Israel) but what people got wrong (including me) is dismissing the red flags he showed in Israel. That said no one was really pushing for these draft spots and everyone past 2 had huge question marks (well both Ingram and Simmons had too but both were head and shoulders better prospects than anyone else).

second year completely non-guaranteed

Great use of that last spot. I don't see how folks can complain about this. You could've argued getting a PG type instead but they did that with Mason on the 2 way already so weren't going to get 2. Still really young, fits the mold of exactly what they want in bigs here. Maybe you could argue you wanted only 1 year or a non guaranteed but really what more can you expect. They need to get more youth on the team in hopes of striking gold on some cheap rotation players as this roster gets wicked expensive
