Yeah right.

Lakers over Celtics, 2020 Finals. This is the most likely outcome for 2020. You agree.

Flip the winning team here, then flip Lakers with Clippers, then you'd be correct.

He's already a plus defender lol. Of course he can improve on that side of the ball, but him improving his already good defense wouldn't exactly be a revelation.

It's the mindset more than the results that are more relevant for what I said. Even if he was the best defender in the entire NBA, a very revealing statement would have had him starting with defense before anything else.

Because Giannis, Lebron, Kobe would have all said defensive improvements first right?
Jesus some of you are a tough crowd hahaha.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

lebron and kobe are MVPs and NBA champions... not 20 year old 3rd year players who just had a season that was derailed by young toxic players not accepting their role

Taum/Brown/Rozier being ego maniacs and thinking they are great before proving anything was as big a problem as kyrie last year

He was asked for this year's goals. Do you really think any NBA player's goals would be averaging 18ppg, not make the all star team, and have a first round playoff exit? Your childish and incessant Celtics bashing is getting very old.

his goal should be to work hard and be humble

And yes of course the Celtics won't win the title this season, nobody with a brain would expect that. But a player has to say he wants to win it all otherwise people question his motor.

I really don't see a problem with him promising to get the Celtics to the championships. In fact, I kind of like that gusto. But "what else is he supposed to say" is a really weird question. The finals thing was something extra that I think caught everyone by surprise.

People won’t know what to do here if Tatum becomes a major star lol. Probably claim it was a no brainer Ainge pick?

#Goals :dontknow:
Only 7 Players in NBA history have 21,000 points, 5,750 assists and 5,750 rebounds. LeBron has double those numbers.

I don't really care about Tatum one way or the other but this is sort of a put up or shut up year for him imo. If he doesn't play like at least a fringe all star this year then there's really no reason to think he is going to be a top 20 guy in the league at some point or any time soon.

He didn't say get past the first round so he's got that Carmelo trajectory on track.

This board is funny, I remember when people gave up on DAngelo Russell so quickly. Look at him now lol. Yes Tatum shouldn’t b crowned but at the same time , he’s relatively young so he has room to improve.
