But don't you want to see him with some combination of Knox, RJ, Trier, Frank, Iggy, DSJ coming off the bench as a unit? Honestly, I really want to see us build chemistry with our young players off the bench. I can see them running other team's second units off the floor.

I have no such inclination and while I don't know Fizdale's intent I expect a blend of young cats with vets on the floor at the same time. And some of the vets are still fairly young too, just having a few years more experience.

If DSJr's shot is fixed and smoking then he should start with RJ or Payton and Trier should be the 6th man.

I think Knox is going to be one of Fiz's experimental players re: starting vs. coming off the bench.

Frank needs to smoke the threes and maybe he can work his way back into the graces of the Fiz

but I don't see a wholly 1st/2nd year second unit as a viable plan or reasonable expectation

True. Good points.

Knox / Wayne / Bullock
Barrett / Trier / Dotson

Yeah that seems to be the preliminary role right now.
In comparing a FC , Mitch vs Bobby may be closer than we think and he may warrant some consideration to start.
Mitch’s metrics are off the charts but Bobby has some established per game averages that nearly Double Mitch’s.

Edit: lol I know ppl aren’t trying to hear that right now.

Where DO you live? Obviously, not in NY.

He's nice and quiet compared to most NYs I meet.

Well, I did live most of my life in NYC, but I exchanged that for the stultifying boredom of suburban Virginia, so it's possible I've lost my NYC acclimation.

Wow you must be married.

Virginia? Haha. That’s where people are actually nice to each other.

Yup. Being married brought me here, when wife took a job with some three letter agency and I dutifully followed along.

Adjusting to people being nice and polite was quite the shock.

At least they act like total assh*les when they drive, so that helps. :D

The further South you get the worse the drivers. In Florida, it is bad manners to use your turn signal.

In Northern Va, since most everyone isn't originally from here, it's an amalgamation of all the worst driving styles this nation has to offer.

Were you the person asking about various towns and cities in the area sometime within the last 6 months?

You out in the nicer, more "country" part of the state, but still have Charlottesville and UVA not so far away.

May I recommend the Hardywine brewery in Charlottesville and the following:
Blackberry Weisse beer (it's seasonal right now)
and
Belgian Peach Triple IPA

Well, you are about an hour away. Buy some growlers and cases and take them home.

Whether you believe it will play out this way or not, I really like the chart. Perfectly illustrates any rotation. If one can find better, let me know. I like how it's not just the minutes but when those minutes get played

that was me :D. you're closer to DC, right? i'm about ~2 hours away from DC. so i'm hoping to catch a few knicks games when they play. supposed to be pretty cheap.

i liked charlottesville, but it was too expensive for me. i grew up in the catskill mountains, so i needed them - i had job offers in richmond and hampton, but i wanted to be by the blue ridge mountains.

i've been to hardywine. i didn't try the belgian peach triple IPA, as that would probably put me on my ass haha. anywhere else, that'd be great. i've only been here a week, and i'm trying to learn as many places as i can.

It's pretty obvious Frank and Dot are probably the ones not going into the rotation at the start of the season and Ellington's minutes should go to them. I feel bad for Dot because he should be getting playing time. I wouldn't be surprised if he could get to 40% from 3 with Smith Jr and RJ getting him open looks. Who knows, maybe Frank surprises everyone and shows enough offensive game to get minutes too.

We need shooters on the floor or else the game will be extremely difficult for everyone else.
