Rondo averaged 8 points a game there.

With the Lakers, Randle averaged 21 points per 36 minutes (he only played 26 mins a game). With the Pelicans, he averaged 21 in 30 mins a game. I think he can easily average 20 here.

Looks in great shape. What if he had 34 mins?

21 points per 36 mpg barely suggest he can average more than 20 a game. The Knicks offense is more akin to every man of himself. We lack playmakers here. He will struggle to get to 18 at best.

How does that barely suggest it when last year he put up 25 per 36? If there’s anyone who’s going to get his, it’s Randle.

Disagreed. Even Randolph couldn’t get there in a Knicks uniform (except the short stint with D’Antoni). We simply don’t have the guards around him to get him the ball where he needs.

He has to rely on his guards and overall ball movement. He doesn’t have the offensive system or guards in New York that he had in New Orleans. So 21 per 36 is more indicative and the ceiling. Since he won’t get 36 mpg, he will stay under 20 ppg. I think he will average around 17-18 ppg.

Randle is def gonna average 20+ points. He's gonna get the usage and he's also playing next to unselfish guards (DSJ/Payton). He even has chemistry with Payton from last season. It's only gonna get better

KP averaged 23 with worse guards and a worse post game. Randle is a better interior scorer.

Disagreed. Couple of reasons:
KP shoots threes at high volume.
He did it under a different coach where the ball moved a little. Compare assist numbers of Jack under Hornacek vs DSJr/Mudiay under Fizdale. Under Fizdale, guards shoot first ask questions second.

What exactly is the point other than a personal attack. You have been here long as well and you should know better. How does this further the conversation?

it's not an attack. i'm being honest, i can't tell if you're serious sometimes. a couple of weeks ago you wanted the knicks to trade for chris paul, not because we'd get picks (you didn't care about that), you wanted him the player. you have interesting ideas. what can i say ?

Here is a question for you. Which one is more likely regarding Randle this upcoming season:

Average 20 ppg with Chris Paul as the PG;
Average 20 ppg with DSJr and Payton

Yes. I do want to trade for a competent lead guard to help this team.

Cp3 is more interesting after December. Right now, making salaries match would be impossible.
The level of separation next year between cp3 and dsj statistically may not be that much though.

Unless his contract becomes an expiring or he becomes 29 years old again after December, there is nothing interesting about CP3.
