Is Exhibit 10 contract just a camp contract, or a GL contract too?

A reliable hook shot and 10-15 foot shot and Rudy would be unstoppable. Hopefully, he is putting up 100x those shots as compared to the 3pters.

Don't want Rudy taking any jump shots at all during games. But I'm not concerned he's going to start. Every NBA player would be the Steph Curry of your local gym. These guys are all really good.

It's a camp contract, but I think it means that he'll go to the stars if he's cut. Unless someone else picks him off of waivers. He won't go into the G-League draft.

Yeah, exhibit 10 is a camp contract with the possibility of keeping the guy for the G-League team.
About Gobert - I don't want him to do any hook shots whatsoever. How many players in the league shoot hook shots nowadays anyways? I'd be shocked if even the best offensive players have 20 field goals made with a hook shot during the entire season. And Gobert doesn't have the best touch. IMO the biggest area of improvement for him should be the non-dunk 5 feet in finishing, where he's in the 40s. He should be much higher than that.

Would prefer Gobert to be making an extra assist or two then hitting the the occasional three. If he can improve his hands and passing then that provides more to the offense then him hitting the odd three.

Blake was recruiting Jeff Green to go to Detroit, but he chose the Jazz it seems. By Green's own words a lot of it had to do with Mike Conley.

I think he can better in the short roll area. He has no touch, it's a lost cause. But he has shown some passing and Euro-Step potentially. If he's open from 6-8 feet away, he needs to be able to take a dribble and step his way to the hoop or make a pass. With no good options on how to defend the PnR, teams might trap and try to make him make a play with in the 4v3.

Heard this on the radio from Locke, if people care about leadership and such:
- This is Mike Conley's locker room. The vets came to play with him, he's a natural voice.
- It will be an adjustment for the Jazz locker room.
- Rubio and Crowder were the "soul" of the team, but it was Quin's locker room.
- Rudy is too demanding to be the leader. It would wear the team out because he expects so much out of everyone.
- Donovan is the star, but still a kid who's likable but this isn't his locker room
- Bojan extremely quiet, does not talk. Just plays ball
His summary of the new team chemistry and locker room dynamic:
Just make the f******* shot and nothing else matters

Seems like some version of the mountains jersey with an accompanying court will be returning to the Jazz next season:
And of course the accompanying DON Issue #1 colorway:
I am not the biggest fan of those jerseys and court BUT... this colorway of the DONs is filthy! I would absolutely buy those if I can find them.

This whole thing is awesome. I love those retro Jersey's, but not enough for them to be our official.
This is the best of both worlds.

Are you guys enjoying the mental gymnastics Locke is going through this summer? Right now he's pushing hard the narrative that continuity and friendship are actually not as important and good as we previously thought(aka "as he was pushing for the last 18 months"). It's not that it's unreasonable position and it's not that I don't agree, but I'm kind fed up with how he pushes every single development around this team toward the narrative that most favors the team, no matter if he's been singing the complete opposite song for years before - the moment it suits us, he instantly switches up the story he's telling.

It is what it is. To be fair to Locke, all of his info seems to come direct from the source. That's why it's so good. If they're feeding him one thing, he's probably going to be convinced by it. The narrative didn't just change about this team, the franchise actually took a 180 turn on the whole continuity thing and threw it in the can.
The team was probably telling how great continuity was, and now they're not. I don't think his agenda solely is to boost the team...I just think he says what he's hearing from the inside. For example, I don't think he leaks the draft picks in attempt to boost them up before they get here. He hears good stuff about them and those good things are the reasons why we draft them.

Haven't listened to him in ages.
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

If I am being honest I don’t think Locke was ever sold on last years team...I remember he speculated that there would be changes at the beginning of the last off season on one of his podcasts. He used a reference of a Sonics team in the 90’s that kept the same team from one year to the next and didn’t see a great return the 2nd of the two years. Obviously nothing ended up happening and he put a positive spin on everything, but I really don’t think he is a fan of the “continuity” agenda personally.
