Perfectly reasonable. I don't see a reason for Harden to play 38 mpg. D' Antoni really needs to understand that he needs to go 9-10 men deep in the regular season.

As much as I enjoyed Harden getting locked up another MVP season last year, I am relieved to see this. Both guys won MVP, scoring champs, assist leaders, one had Wilt like streak, one is the modern day Big O, they need one thing - a championship ring more than anything else, or even a deep playoff run with some 40-50 pt historical games will elevate their status big time.

If we want Harden to age well like MJ, Kobe, Lebron and continue to play at a higher level at the age of 35 beyond, load management is critical.

Plus, this will mean more role and play time for Gordon, Rivers even House for them to get in the groove early and more ready for the playoffs.
