I competed for a girl named Emmy in high school and won. If you count getting herpes as winning.

Is this an allegory for how you will become a major sellout when you win your Emmy?

Horst's 3 most cap friendly signings have all come really late into free agency.

It's almost.... almost... almost like waiting and not signing middling talent on day 1 at midnight is not a good idea.

If he's still here at the end of the 2021 season then that likely means he's realized his potential and I'd probably give him more than that...

Ha! I hope so. That would mean he did something.

If I’m Dragan Bender I cut my Croatian island hopping short, move to Milwaukee and get started working with the Bucks training staff ASAP. If I’m me I probably just take my 900th “yoga for beginners” class and get a patty melt somewhere.

Only 21, yes to this. I remember years ago some here said no to Ersan for DeRozan or Jimmy Butler at that age. See the potential future from the trees guys and remember careers are shorter but bigs develop later.

Maybe all he needs is someone to tell him to let it fly without thinking?

Personally I'm surprised and encouraged by all the Suns fans who said he's a good defender.... honestly I never noticed it before, but I always trust the only people who actually watch a team 82 games a year.

Well it's been a while since Suns fans have seen any defense but it's a good sign. :D

Lost a 2nd pick and gained a recent 4th overall guy. Bender can be PP's new "pedigree" guy, replacing Jabari.

I like comparing prospects to Brog, he was a late bloomer.

With that being said, for some perspective. When Brog was Bender's age, he was a red shirt Soph. at Virginia, and still three years away from the NBA... Just sayin'.

So you're saying we signed him way too early?

When a sun's fan says one of their players is a good defender, what they mean is he is close to average.

Bender is a horrendous defender. The only people who say that he's a good defender are the Suns fans who were overhyping him before the draft and are still in denial that their pre-draft scouting report based on a grainy 2 minute youtube video wasn't accurate at all. He's super slow laterally and gets blown by by everyone, not just guards but also big men.

That is not his problem at all.

I stand corrected. Just ignore whatever a Suns fan says about their current or past players, regardless of whether it is positive or negative.

"Grainy 2-minute youtube video?" You can find plenty of HD footage of entire Maccabbi Tel Aviv and FIBA U18 games were he played because, you know, it was 2016, not 2007.

I admire any Suns fans that manages to watch all 82 Suns games. That is a real diehard right there.
