It’s because smart isn’t really a reliable shooter. You can’t have your point guard struggling to make every open jumper and free throws. While he’s probably our best defender, he’s just can’t be trusted offensively for now, and his playmaking skills is just average at best. With his comments recently, i don’t find him as a guy who can lead as well. Maybe just a good locker room guy, but definitely not a leader type. Lets see how he does this season coming off the bench.
So, because he didn't come out and blame others and make it worse, and said the team failed not "so and so", he's not a guy who can lead well?
It's just 100% the opposite of that. That makes him a leader. He took blame.
