I wonder if Durant makes the Top 25.

The second OP added Gobert to this poll he had 7 or 8 votes votes for the 3rd or 4rth (forgot which rank it was) best player in the world thats where how you know this is messed up lol. Its the same utah fans voting him in this poll is a popularity contest at this point with guys like gobert of all players getting this many votes.

Yeah, it’s tough when big markets like Salt Lake City take over a thread like this with their huge fanbase. :roll:

Honestly, I think it’s people who wanna pay lip service to defense without actually trying to evaluate its impact for different players so they’ll be like “well Gobert’s the best defensive player, I better give him lots of credit to show I’m not just biased toward offense”. But really Gobert’s only even best at defense during the regular season. I’d much prefer Draymond in the playoffs.

jrue Holiday was their best player, and Rondo was so important. Portland had Evan Turner in the startign lineup and it didn't work.

He was all-nba. Only 15 guys make this and it means more than all-star.

I wouldn’t have voted him in so soon, but top 20 makes sense.

Are you really trying to diminish Davis averaging 33 and 12 with 3 BPG on .649 TS% vs. Portland because “Jrue and Rondo played good too”? Davis’s 123 ORth and 100 DRtg were much better than either player put up too. Remember, Davis is #5 all-time in postseason PER with at least 500 minutes played. He’s been fantastic when it matters most.

He got spoon-fed by Jrue and Rondo for most of those baskets.

KAT was 23 years old last year and is coming off back-to-back seasons where he was:

2018: 16th in RPM and 10th in PER

He didnt even get better this season as opposed to a guy like blake who had his best season at the age of 29-30 and carried the pistons to the playoffs. Thats the definition of reinventing your game like blake.

I could see towns as a top 16-20 player this upcoming season though but so far he seems like a guy who just puts up stats with no real impact in terms of winning, atleast would be nice if he could get his team to the postseason this year.

Wolves were decimated by injuries last year. After the Butler trade, before the injuries, we were playing the best ball I've seen from Wolves since 2004 KG. Not exaggerating.

All signs point to a monster year from KAT so I voted for him. His defensive issues are there but overblown.

Kyrie is getting pretty underrated at this point.

Gobert was TOP15 impact player last season (including Durant), but with the addition of Conley and Bogdanovic, and expected Mitchell improvement, his role in Utah will not be so significant like in past two seasons, unlike Towns and Irving expected increasing roles. For me #12KAT, #13Russ, #14Kyle, #15Gobert...
