John Wall: Bradley Beal will sign extension... Bradley Beal loves playing with me

Post#1 » by OrangeBlueSkies » Sat Aug 3, 2019 8:45 pm

He’s delusional. Beal and the Wizards are better with Wall off the court.

Brad's a very smart guy. He's going to make the best decision for himself and the organization," Wall said. "He enjoys D.C. I mean, he won the Community Assist Award for all the things he did here. He loves playing with me."

I wouldn’t say they’re better with Wall off the court

I think what Wall meant to say is that Beal loves playing with Wall in 2K.

Won't Beal get the highest paycheck "playing" with Wall? And honestly, for all the vitriol, there are way worse points to play with Johnny Wall

Wizards need to move them both.
They are operating in a restricted cap.

Lol. Wall goes from "he loves D.C." into "he loves playing with me." What a weirdo.

That opinion is relatively new and started happening when Wall started partying alot, getting fat, and stay injured. Before that, our team was all about Wall. We were garbage anytime he would even sit and we had no offense without him. He was getting guys major paydays on his own. The good thing is that he seems to be humbled and refocused

You mean same reason why you signed that extension of 40M+ per year with Wizards? Because if they didnt love you at 40M they didnt deserve you?

Why would Beal want to stick around to play with Wall? He has got to leave.

The Wizards have absolutely handcuffed themselves with the contract given to John Wall coinciding with his untimely achilles tear. They aren't good enough to be a playoff team, they'll land in the 32-36 win range just like last year.

Even when Wall returns after next season, I doubt he is close to the same player he was before going down. So much of his game is based off of his explosiveness - I don't it's going to be there anymore. With his contract starting at roughly $38 million and ballooning to $47 million over the next four seasons they will be doomed to mediocrity. He is untradeable. Sit him all year and hope he comes back healthy.

The Wizards are openly not trying to make the playoffs this year. New regime is taking a more pragmatic philosophy and realizes that we need to take a step back to take a step forward. They purposely leaned out the roster to keep our cap sheet clean moving forward

This season is about focusing on developing our young prospects and hopefully playing for a high draft pick to add to Beal + Wall + Hachimura + Brown Jr core. Mahinmi coming off the books means they'll have about $20M in capspace as well. If Washington plays their cards right they could right the ship pretty quickly, especially considering how low of a bar the East is.

If I’m the Wizards I look to buyout this contract. It’s untradeable.

Okay your tripping here.
I have experienced the same thing, having a dominant figure stand over the team, that is incredibly skilled, but limits the rest of the team to his play style. (Both being the dominant figure, and having a dominant figure)

Although it limits the teams ceiling and at first they will perform better with the freedom.
It’s not sustainable.

Better players means better teams, when you are talking about a allnba callibur guy that’s 100x the truth.
No team is better without a top teir player, but they can sometimes sustain similar performances, with Wall we are still a playoff team, without him we are lotto that’s a difference.
After your first, you change, you mature, you dont just jump into things.

After getting dunked on for the first time, life becomes complex.

This contract would require at least three teams to facilitate a trade to match these salary figures. Not to mention no one knows if Wall will be a shell of himself once he is healed? Like he might not even be available until the 2020-2021 season.

If I’m the Wizards, I seriously start considering all options to move/remove this contract from the books.
