My custom pair. I’m on vacation, but apparently they delivered yesterday and I can’t wait to get back and see them in person. My favorite customization was that I got to put a gum rubber sole on it. I love the traction on gum rubber shoes.

How long did it take? Says 4 weeks on the site?
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I thought about customizing a pair before buying the orange ones, but the custom color options seem a bit muted. The orange ones have a few nice touches you can't add to the custom ones.

I ended up deciding to keep the orange ones. They're a bit tighter than I'd like (a wide version would have been better), but overall, I find them supportive and comfortable.

The "Coming to America" version looks real slick, though. I might have to get those, too.

Met Peja the other day in Lemnos, he looks quite fit, which is kinda surprising considering the amount of ice cream he was devouring.

What's up with Pick N Save delis being almost completely self serve now? Each of their pasta/potato salads are now 6.99/lb regardless of what type. Nothings on sale anymore. Stupid.

You don’t want to pay $7 for the honor of serving yourself pasta mixed with Italian dressing that has been sitting out in the open for hours in a busy store at fart level and touched by any yokel with the flu/C. Diff/MRSA/whatever? Btw, you also get the amazing experience of checking yourself out and bagging said pasta salad.

Pick and save (metro market) lost my business a year or so ago. The three bucks you may save there over sendiks isn’t worth the frustration and knowledge that they are profiting more by not employing human beings.

If you want to save money, gotta do woodmans.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

I'll also add that the two Pick N Save locations by my house are pretty subpar when it comes to vegetables, meat and beer selection. Woodman's is way cheaper, Hyvee is just a cleaner store (plus I've had great success with the Fuel Savers rewards).

If Woodman's had fresh meat and seafood it'd be just about perfect. Huge, but perfect. But instead I usually stick to Festival Foods.

Metcalfe's in Tosa with Trader Joe's and Costco sprinkled in (also the farmer's market and Kettle Range).

I was in awe the first time in a Woodman's. The frozen pizza aisle alone was like 30 yards long.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Just realized there's a Woodman's in Oak Creek. God bless.

Woodman's slogan should be "A little cheaper, a little less fresh".

Make sure you check expiration dates there.

The first one in Milwaukee, IIRC. My folks live in OC and were thrilled that they didn't have to drive to Kenosha anymore when they opened a decade ago. From what I hear, that Woodman's is getting into a war with Meijer next door.

I generally avoid fresh produce at Woodys, but everything else is on par with most grocery stores, IMO.

Not a lot of great options where I'm at, so Kroger (who owns Pick N Save) is the default. I don't shop the deli, so I guess I haven't noticed if that's the same issue here. The only other alternatives are Publix (which I generally have liked, except the one here is unfortunately a dumpster fire) and Fresh Market (which makes Metcalfe's look like an Aldi). I also go to TJ's, but I don't think you can do all of your shopping there. I go to CostCo about once per month as it's an hour drive.

When I'm in Madison, I usually combo Metcalfe's, Hy Vee, CostCo, and Brennan's.

While we're on the topic of grocery stores, I have to give a quick plug for the pizza at Whole Foods. I've been going out of my way to stop there once every couple months to order a pizza to go, and it's pretty damn good. It takes them about 15 minutes to make it fresh, so that gives me enough time to peruse the rest of the grocery store and gawk at how obnoxiously priced some of their items are.

I do, but I find even the prime discounts there aren't that good. I did like the $10 credit I got for shopping there before Prime Day.
