our rotation

Post#1 » by lalalaker » Sat Aug 3, 2019 5:08 am

with the signing complete i want to know what rotation we should start with from starters to bench players.
my prediction
pg:rondo cook caruso
sg:green KCP Bradley
sf: lebron bradley daniels
pf: davis kuzma dudley
c:mcgee boogie davis

the death lineup to me is lebron, green, kuzma, boogie and davis
this to me is just a fair view of what the rotation maybe but if i had to choose i would like to see
some playtime for caruso and not use boogie too much playtime at the start of season to give him some time to heal his conditioning.

it was awkward to bring back kcp cause he is just like green and we really dont need a logjam at the 2 with the same time of player.

I don't think Rondo gets a start or much minutes next to Lebron seeing how they don't fit together, but he should get like 10-15 minutes per game to run the bench units.

Your closing 5 is a tad too big I think.. I'd rather always have 2 of Green, Bradley, KCP or Caruso(in that order) on the court to be primary defenders on oppo smalls.

Clippers will be main competition

14 mins: Bradley, Green, LeBron, Kuzma, AD
14 mins: Lou, Shamet, PG-13/Kawhi, Harkless, Harrell

14 mins: Caruso, Iggy, Kuzma, LeBron/AD, Cousins
14 mins: Beverley, Shamet, PG-13, Kawhi, Zubac

10 mins: Caruso, Green/Iggy, LeBron, AD, Cousins
10 mins: Beverley/Lou, PG-13, Kawhi, Green, Harrell

10 mins: Bradley, Green, Iggy, LeBron, AD
10 mins: Beverley, Lou, Kawhi, PG-13, Green/Harrell

Looking at these lineups makes me give the edge to the Lakers. Iggy is an important addition to make, so the signings aren't over yet.

I think they'll go with: Bradley - Green - Lebron - AD - Boogie

Green starts at the 2, of course. Lebron prefer the 3, Davis the 4 and Boogie taking that kind of money should allow him to start as well if he's healthy. That leaves open the 1-spot, which i think goes to Bradley. Caruso wont get it due to politics and while Rondo could get the starting gig i think he's best served in a role where he gets to run the offense, which is when Lebron is off the floor.

That will push KCP, McGee and Kuz to the bench, which is fine.
