Better player next season: Simmons or Doncic?

Ben Simmons (23 y.o.) in 2018-19: 16.9 Pts, 8.8 Rebs, 7.7 Assists, 58.2 TS%, 20.07 PER.

Luka Doncic (20 y.o.) in 2018-19: 21.2 Pts, 7,8 Rebs, 6.0 Assists, 54.5 TS%, 19.61 PER.

Doncic, think his scoring will go up and his floor awareness and overall stamina/endurance will be even better which should help tremendously.

Simmons didn't get (much) better in his 2nd season. His jump shot, which is a huge factor in becoming a better player in this era, hasn't got any better at all. Simmons will most probably remain Simmons from 2017-18 and 2018-19. Doncic, on the other hand, can spend the offseason working on his body, improve his conditioning, his jump shot (selection?), and won't need to do as much as he was asked to in the last 30-40 regular season games. While his per game stats will probably remain similar, there is IMO a high chance that his efficiency will improve.
I would have to go with Doncic. (we are talking about offense, aren't we?)

Why? He doesn't have to be the best player on the team, just a better fit.

That would be a great trade for Philly. Idk about championships though. People can get injured out of nowhere and completely mess things up.

Yeah, maybe you're right. But what about last season? If they had Luka over Simmons and Durant gets injured I think they would've definitely won.

Luka’s probably gonna average 25ppg this season.

If he ever learns how to draw shooting fouls at an effective rate & finish better at the rim, I’d look for him to average near 30ppg on extremely high shooting splits in the near future. He has the total package offensively. Ben Simmons has few more issues besides just his shooting.

This is coming from someone who was not high on Doncic coming into the league.

He had Wesley and Barnes in a tight playoff race before they got traded. Would you consider those two to be better than Harris and Butler?

Doncic was better last season, obviously he's gonna be better next season, 25+8+8 that's prime Bron numbers.

That was very early, I've never considered them a playoff contender. Doncic has a lot to prove, he only had one season. Maybe he is on of tose guys that mature early.

Jesus Christ our team was so trash last season and I hate rc so much for playing those bums 35 minutes. Wesley is simply trash and Indi fans won't let me lie. Barnes actually tried not to pass. That bum jordan legit refused to play defense at all and only padded his rebounds hoping for that 20 mil per year lol.
