Watching the touch of someone like Gobert knowing how effective he is in the league makes me so excited to see Mitch develop

Re: Official Frank Ntilikina Thread
He only took 3 shots? 12th man defensive specialist is his ceiling? He has shown ZERO desire to score in 2 NBA seasons. That just continued in this game. I really want to see him break out. I'd settle for a rotational 3&D player but...he doesn't shoot 3s. He's going to get lost in the shuffle if he doesn't change his ways.

Forced a turnover, he rotated on someone driving in the lane and got him to throw the ball out of bounds.

Basically, same 'ole Frank. I am fully confident he is what he is. We won't see no 3rd year jump. Dude's biggest problem is his mentality. And I doubt he ever becomes the knock down shooter he needs to be in order to make an offensive impact on so little an amount of attempts.

This is what I've been saying for the longest. He is just content to play a small role. He has no desire to be great.

I rather see Frank get buckets in those Rico Hines runs (Chris Johnson, Brinkley etc) instead of playing the same exact role in France. Won’t see anything new in FIBA

Exactly. This is why I wanted to see him play in Vegas Summer League. Get in some games where the culture is to GET YOURS. Force him to be aggressive. See if his ball-handling has improved by going up against some pesky defenders fighting for their NBA lives. See if he can knock down threes on a high volume of attempts. See if he has improved on his finishing ability or if he can get into the paint.
At this point I'd settle for Frank at the Rucker

Whenever the front office decides to trade him I'll be for it. The whole it doesn't make sense to because his value is at its lowest right now argument doesn't cut it for me because he will likely never really sky rocket in value while he's here

Nice that he can pass, but would be nicer if he could shoot the ball. 3 & D works but not so sure about Assist & D

Re: Official Frank Ntilikina Thread
I don’t get y’all we got enough guys to put the ball in the basket. He got 6 assists and 2 steals with good defense in 15 minutes. He took 3 shots. He needs to hit the 3 more consistently but otherwise how is this game viewed negatively. If you want RJ, Mitch, Knox, randle to score you need someone to defend and willingly pass them the ball.

Re: Official Frank Ntilikina Thread
Some of y'all really need to look at that boxscore again and reflect on how many shots Frank took relative to everyone else. No one on the bench took more than 3 shots. Hell, Batum didn't even break 3 and he started. And honestly, it looks like the French National team runs an offensive system with defined roles. Frank played his, still has to hit his shots tho. To me, it looked like France's NBA'ers are still shaking off rust as none of them played particularly well. Agree with the above...we won't get a great gauge of where Frank is till he returns to the States.

and he was taken by Collet (french coach)for his defense in first, and pass the ball. Heurtel Fournier De Colo (out this game) Batum to score. For his first selection, Ntilikina was interesting.

Do you hear yourself? What you guys keep saying equates to "We have enough good players. I like Frank so let him run around with those guys to make me feel better". Also, the scoring for those guys you mentioned have nothing to do with Frank's defense or passing. RJ, Mitch, Payton, Taj, Portis and Morris are plenty defense. So what your pushing is finding a role for Frank to run up and down the floor, pass it and hide on the offensive side...basically a continuation of what he's done to date. That's nuts!
