Out of boredom, yesterday i took some speed typing tests to see how many Words per min i could type.

Im averaging around 88 WPM with 95% accuracy. Not bad.

If anyone else is bored and wants to try. https://www.livechatinc.com/typing-speed-test/#/

Wow. That's great. Typing was the most beneficial class I took in high school.

Wanda Sykes’s Netflix stand up/concert is hilarious. She’s been nominated for an Emmy.

Red Sea Diving Resort looks awesome. On Netflix.

Yeah, it was a little too theatrical but good nonetheless

The central story was not convincing. Fairly typical Scorcese problem. He is good with milieu, cinema mechanics and gets good performances, but he is not a great storyteller.

That said, it was an accomplishment to portray Olde New York so vividly which is fascinating and makes the movie for me. It really is amazing how the material reality of our society has evolved so much yet you scratch that surface these days and you find the impulse of many is to return to those times.

That riot really happened - and the anti-immigrant fervor is also historically accurate.

I always get choked up in that last scene when he captures the Twin Towers through the overgrown graveyard.

I finished it last night after putting it on pause and the riots were really the truthful heart of the film. It pulled the rug out from under the showdown between Bill and the kid when the warships started pounding the Five Points.

Still not my favorite piece of cinema, but very glad I watched it. I was shaken by the destruction and lust for violence at the end. The film feels even more relevant to this year than the year it was made.

I only watched episode 1 so far. It's very well done. Basketball meets the socio-economic plight of the Navajos.

ha! I remember when I was in college, a group of us that were supposed to be studying, had contest of who can type the fastest using one of these test.

I got 87 WPM and 97% accuracy. I felt I could have done more but didn't want to type too aggressively at work. Will try again.

Check out these guys:

Never knew there was contest for these.

I started watching that last night, but shut it off in the first minute just because it was too loud when I was trying to get the baby to sleep. I really want to watch it though. Prime has some really great shows.

I started watching it

Tonight I'm on Episode 5

and I just howled with laughter at the scene in the hospital where they use a super baby to laser some bad guys. Funny as hell moment

Good show overall so far. Easy to watch so it is diverting with a cynical take on corporatism and modern hero mythos

I hated it, maybe because I didn't expect that type of movie. Not a fan of weird, WTF movies.

Just finished season one of The Boys

I thought the premise would get wringed dry quickly and I would get tired of it by the end, but it sustained my interest even though it had its fair share of banal cops and robbers tv script filler BS that I don't care about

What I found interesting was the character of Homelander is truly excellent in a diabolical way. The actor in that role is quite brilliant.

And the end of the final episode was a good plot twist. I figured out what was going to happen during the middle of that critical penultimate scene, but it was clever enough to make me nod in approval at the scriptwriting.

I'll watch season 2 when it comes out

Lol not sure if I’ve gotten older or they’ve changed writers or what. But I feel like I can barely keep up this season. The references and jokes come in one right after the other.
