Can we have a Fultz thread? I liked checking in for updates. The negative Nancy's (ours and sixers) ruined the last one.

Was it closed because that Sixers guy tried (and failed) to troll?

Not sure, I didn't close that one. Feel free to make a new one though that's just general stuff. Or I can make it in a bit.

Crying that thread isn't about Magic only, during summer where is nothing to talk about in general is pointless.
Magic, much like all other teams , won't play even preseason before second week in October.
That's 2 full months from now.

Is there really reason to open thraed about him again right now, when we know for sure that for next 50 days we won't get any info?

Right now, it is all trickles. Such as this from Sunday:
Aaron Gordon has spoken very highly of teammate Markelle Fultz but even the sixth-year forward still doesn’t quite know the former No. 1 overall pick that well.

Speaking at the tip-off ceremony for the Jr. NBA Global Championship on Sunday, Gordon said that he plans to get to know Fultz better this summer and is eager to get to work with him.

“I’ve been around him a little bit,” Gordon said. “He’s a hard-worker. I’m going to take him to dinner and talk to him a little bit more and start to develop that relationship and start working together.”

I would think the next two/three weeks will be a lot of this little stuff. And then an EXPLOSION of news around the start of September.

lol what?

Do you know him in person?
Guy is manipulative control freak that only cares about controling narrative whenver he goes, whoever he leaves behind. ( Griffin, irving, Bosh, Love all share similar stories about times with him , word hard and miserable pops up a lot ).
Him showing up with bendage on his arm to find another laughable excuse in 2018 was easly most pathetic move in sports history.

Well second most pathetic, Lance Armstrong promoting healhy life while being juiced to the bone is probably the most pathetic move in sprots history. But let's not act others don't juice.

that's a pretty weak argument for trying to illustrate that Lebron is a bad person.

He is very charitable, even opened up a school in his hometown where underprivileged but exceptional students receive assistance with transportation, meals, college tuition and a quality education.

He has not been in trouble with the law.

Has been in a seemingly solid relationship with his wife and has not had a bunch of scandalous rumors.

He is a family man who has been very supportive and involved with his children's education and athletic endeavors.

Has helped his child hood friend's become successful in various business ventures.

all of your examples are highly speculative and are only a problem for jealous basketball fans.

feels weird that I have to argue this as I root against Lebron on the Basketball court as he has been playing for pretty much all the teams that rival the Magic during his career, but I feel like it was needed.

None of this means he's a good person outside of the public eye. A lot of these guys do stuff like this for show or self gain. Not saying any of that is a fact but to think anything you see publicly is an automatic indication that he's a "good person" is naive.

Should we shut the entire forum down for that reason?

There will be morsels of news for most things Magic related. We just gotta not let the boredom fuel more bickering.

But an offseason for board members is probably healthy for most of us. We need some rest so we can all come back and fight even more intensely next season

I mean, we can open thread about him or any other player when some new info comes in?

Right now it's one big nothing in nba anyway.
Haslem re-signing is on top of news

Since 2014, he has scored: 1.6 ppg, 1.9 ppg, 0.6 ppg, and a major rebound last year of 2.5 ppg.

In the last three years, he has averaged 13 games played per season at 6.8 minutes per game.

Haslem will make $2,564,753. Assuming he plays 6.8 minutes per game in 13 games played = 88 minutes of court time, this equates to $29,144.92 per minute of work, which is a hourly rate of $1,748,695.23.

There are not a lot of jobs on earth that pay 7 figures an hour. Hmm.

Lebron has always been a douchey attention whore. Doesn’t take away from his game at all, 2nd goat imo. Just is what it is, he’s lived up to the hype better than anyone ever so I guess he has a right to it.

GOAT talent no doubt, but didn't quite get there in achievements, competitive or mental parts of the game IMO. Still probably top 5 I guess.

I realize 2016 championship was a big deal and all but that series single handedly changed most fans view toward him. He went from jokes how he always loses in the finals to the goat or near goat talks. I can see arguments. But just never liked him much. Flopping, whining to refs, whining to media. I’m in the minority on that these days though.

That 2016 nba playoffs refs /people around nba played huge role in it.
First Green nutshot that was not suspended by NBA vs OKC, yet for same reason, but ofc against Lebron lead team he got suspended and it lead to dramatic shift in that series.
Also it's pretty obvious that Curry was hurt during most of nba finals.

Whole 73 wins team thing was way overblown, they burned themselfs to the ground while chasing shadow of Bulls. Also Barnes was one of most pathetic starters i can remember during that NBA finals, guy couldn't hit water from boat in middle of an ocean.

Lebron gets nothing for hovering his package over Draymond too lol. Everyone knows what he was trying to do, and it worked. I think in general nba probably tends to help underdogs in that kind of situation, prolonging a series. But not saying it’s a conspiracy either. Iguodala taking forever and a day to finesse his layup was the real problem.
