Okay, so I was 4 when that commercial came out. But there's a pretty obvious reason Midwest doesn't exist anymore if they had luxury leather seats and served lobster in coach. And I can't imagine that would be coming back.

That reminds me of some total whack off that I encountered at ATL once, though. He started yelling (I'm not exaggerating) to the service rep at check-in who had informed him he was in a middle seat, and when she didn't fold he threatened that he would be firing his admin.

People are **** awful, man.

So, like, it's gonna probably cost you as much or a little more than coach Delta but you're flying on limited routes, small planes, but you're gonna get a bit more free stuff and maybe a comfy-ish seat on the flight?

Sounds like that's how they will start off.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

My favorite Midwest Express memory is the smooth jazz-backed Bucks' "Sky Shots" highlight reel.

Always ask for the entire can. Also, if they give you a choice of free snacks (usually pretzels, peanuts, or cookies) you can always ask for all three.

You're welcome. 8-)

So I’m at the John Mayer concert right now and these women behind me are telling the people in front of me to sit down. I don’t get it. It’s a ****** concert. These are young women btw, not people who can’t stand themselves.

At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

It's a **** situation for sure. No one wants an ass in their face all night but sitting at a concert blows imo. If you don't care enough to stand then why are you there? "We paid for these seats, pal." Heard that once and I was like "So did I?"

I don't think I've ever seen a musician or a venue take a position on the matter. I wonder what an usher would do? It kinda seems like it's up to you to work it out yourself. There's crazy people out there though. MAN, 28, STABBED FOR NOT SITTING DOWN AT BODEANS SHOW sounds like it could be a real headline.

There might be a market for a 5* american airline. The longer leg room, meals no matter the flight and free drinks in economy have been so nice on my recent flights with lufthansa and asiana for example.

Got free tickets and I started liking him after he toured with the Dead. Unfortunately, no Dead songs were played :/

Yeah, I think John Mayer is quite a bit different/in a different genre than some think or remember.

One of my first nights in Australia I got drunk blind with some guys from work, walked to the taxi rank, opened (what I thought was) the passenger door while looking away and waving goodnight at my friends, and actually sat on the taxi driver

The guy did start reaching for something under his seat, not that I blame him considering I'm 6'5 with a beard and pretty big and drunk at the time. Thank God he left it there in the end, whatever it was.

https://onmilwaukee.com/dining/articles/the-buckatabon-to-replace-cafe-bavaria.html

This is just a bad idea. If I want **** supper club food, I'd go to one of hundreds around the state. It reminds me of Trailer Park Tavern taking over the Palm.

The Buckatabon, which is slated to open sometime in early 2020, will mark a departure from Lowlands' collection of European-inspired cafes. Described as "part Up North tavern, part lakeside lodge and part classic supper club," it will derive inspiration from the regional food and beverage traditions of Wisconsin.

"There is so much food tradition scattered about the state," says Chef Hauck. "And we can't wait to pull it all together in one place. It could be specific dishes like booyah stew from the Northeast, broasted chicken dinners, or a classic fish fry, but we're also interested in using ingredients unique to the state like wild rice, cranberries, cherries, and of course all of the amazing dairy we're surrounded by. There is no shortage of inspiration."

It all comes down to execution. If it's the standard bland old people food that you always find at supper clubs than I agree that it will probably be a flop. If they are just playing off the theme and the food will be a bit more refined, it could be quite good and very popular. just have to wait and see...like most things

I know what you're saying but you can literally get all this stuff everywhere in Wisconsin and especially MKE, from locally sourced Beard award winning chefs to the dive next door. Everyone makes craft Old Fashioneds. Every restaurant does a broasted chicken and "classic" fish fry, and half of them do some sort of a booyah-ish stew. I mean I haven't seen their numbers and their market research though so maybe people are begging for some artisan pasties or fresh Menomonee River fish boils. I just don't get the appeal of more Wisconsin or Upper Midwest cuisine.

My mom worked at Midwest for a long time and we took many free trips. It'll always have a place in my heart.

Also, damn a fish fry sounds good right about now.
