How the heck was he picked 2nd overall?
before harden, curry, derozen, tyreke Evans, Rubio, et al.

Before Patty Mills! In a year the great Joe Ingles went undrafted!

Surprised Thabeet is still playing.

Thabeet thing tells you they aren’t sure Bender will make a final roster spot. Or they owe his agent something.

It’s funny that we get to revisit the existence of Hasheem Thabeet in August of 2019 but the tweet/workout means absolutely nothing. If anything he could maybe get a look from the Herd.

Of course Bender's spot on the team is most vulnerable one but I don't think a 32 year old Thabeet would have me losing any sleep if I were him.

Hasheem Thabeet presents zero danger to anyone on the roster.

7-3. If he’s developed a 3 pointer, I bet he sticks.

It's obvious we're working him out because we're Hasheem Thabeet in the Eastern Conference.

I wouldn't read too much into it yet, just working out for a team doesn't mean anything. Didn't Amare and Monta work out for us too while in Vegas? I thought all our spots were filled already but if there is 1 more then I guess we just want an extra huge body to go up against Embiid. I remember Thabeet being a pretty imposing figure inside at UConn but always being an under-performer
and guy who seemed like he was only playing because he is so tall.

This is the most recent footage of Thabeet I could fine. Looks pretty lumbering still and its not a very good look to start of video of 7'3" guy doing lay ups under the basket and dribbling up to his chest. Not that I expect him to hit those shots but his form doesn't look that bad I guess/

I think Bender's contract tells you that. It's a modest bet, a small but not insignificant guarantee -- even if the first year was fully guaranteed, I don't think his place on the roster would be. Especially in Milwaukee, land of stretch 4s and stretch contracts.

Never saw the hype on thabeet from the first time I saw him play vs Marquette at the BC, I laughed when the griz drafted him

I can't remember a less impressive individual workout mix. That one where Motiejunas couldn't make a shot was bad, but it wasn't edited to make him look good, and he at least looked quick for his size. This is just ridiculous. Not that I don't love a low-effort Mikan drill.

I channeled you for that bit of inspiration.

What do bucks fans think or Davis Bertans as a potential target? He’s a 6’10 sf. Can Middleton play slide to the 2 position with bertans on the floor?

It might be unfair, but it looks like he has all the athleticism of a backup WNBA player.

If Thabeet beats out Bender, Bender doesn’t deserve a spot on any NBA team.

I thought Bender was signed as a potential replacement for Giannis.

By the way, there is so much Giannis gear/promotion around LA I thought I was in MKE.

I watched Dejuan Blair at Pitt steal his lunch money every time Pitt played Uconn. I agree, I never understood the hype other than the physical size of him.
