Damn how did Beal get so highly regarded? Dude has a good skillset but makes very little impact.

Not sure how that makes sense. Both Kemba and Beal have similar impact stats. And neither was able to lead their bad team the the playoffs. Charlotte had more victories, but had also a better supporting cast.

They were close offensively (Beal more efficient; Kemba better ORPM) and both are bad defensively (Beal had the edge though). But Beal’s going to be 26 next year and could still get better.

Kemba had a considerably higher RPM last season (2.76 vs 1.51), but BPM was much closer (3.3 vs 2.8). Maybe the gap isn't huge but I don't think Beal is in the same tier as a scorer or playmaker. Last season was also Beal's best year so that also makes things seem closer. Beal is 3 years younger but I don't know if he'll suddenly begin making everyone else better and/or be able to carry a team the way Kemba has (somewhat). I guess I'm just not as high on him as others are.

Like how exactly are we supposed to determine where an Injured Durant ranks next season?

IF he was healthy, we all know he's top 2 in the the game

I’m so sick of hearing this. I definitely don’t agree he’s top 2 in the game if healthy. Kawhi, LeBron, Giannis, and AD all clearly better even if he had a miracle recovery IMO and Harden and Curry are both on the same level. Durant was #4 in the retro POY project last time we had a vote before this injury. The year before that he ranked #5. The year before that? Also #5. He hasn’t actually been a consensus top 2 player since 2014 and even then he was overrated after a terrible playoffs. By the time he recovers as much as he’s going to, he would have aged out of the top 5 anyway.

Ok I hear you, but that still doesnt answer the question as to why he's even still on the list.

We can all agree that he def should been gone in the top 7

Well I would agree that he shouldn’t be nominated yet. But the poll’s not about what he would do if he was healthy. It’s about what we can expect on average for this season with him not healthy. I think if we kept on voting, it would be fair to nominate him somewhere around #40 on the chance he has a major impact late in the season, but also weighing the chance that he doesn’t return to action at all.

He had a couple huge games, specifically Games 6 and 7 against Denver, but if you look at the postseason as a whole, he didn’t actually do anything better than Dame. He scored the second most points on the team on below average efficiency. That’s about it.

You do realize the terms "best player" is used to describe the 1st place player and not second place player.

The way you are using the term would work like this.

Kyle Lowry was Torontos best player.

I'm confused with what youre saying. For example Wade was miamis best player in the 2011 nba finals, doesnt mean im taking wade overall over lebron just saying wade had played better and was the better player when we discuss those 6 games. Mccollum was better than Lillard in the postseason, same thing. And Kawhi was easily torontos best player its night and day in reference to the lowry comment.

He was key in the OKC series but I think Dame's contribution was greater, however in the denver and GS (despite how they got swept) series combined CJ had played better especially in key moments.

His scoring was overall better than Dame's after the OKC series, as well as his overall +/-, he was more impactful in key moments especially those denver games (dame was better in the OKC series), and while there shooting percentages werent the best his shooting percentage was better from the field.
