2019-2020 Washington Wizards Schedule

Post#1 » by CntOutSmrtCrazy » Mon Aug 12, 2019 8:13 pm

The NBA released schedules today, here's our: https://stats.nba.com/schedule/#!?PD=N&TeamID=1610612764

Start the season on a brutal trip playing all the Texas teams and OKC. A month later we are doing out again to the West to play Denver, Phoenix and both LA teams. Not an easy start to the season, but January and February are pretty soft and we finish the season against some difficult teams.

definitely gonna be 5-0 to start the season

On the bright side could start Brooks' hot seat early.

Probably Cleveland's only game too. That'll be a ratings triumph!

I like the schedule. I want a difficult start and an easy back half. With a difficult start, they should immediately get out of the mindset that they have a chance of making the playoffs so they can get down to business developing the young guys.

But starting in mid January through most of March, the schedule gets pretty easy with a lot of home games against beatable teams. Maybe there's a nice run where the Wizards play .500 ball for 2 months before tanking again in April.

The goal this year is to develop youth and build morale. I think the schedule is set up pretty nicely to accomplish that. I could see the team going 13-29 over their first 42 games, then going 15-15 over 30 games from mid January to late March, and then sitting Beal a lot in the final 10 games and going 2-8. I'd consider that a successful season if those middle 30 games involved Hachimura, Bryant and Brown starting and playing 30 minutes a night.

I think that if everybody tries hard & does their very best, every player should get a ribbon after the game. Don't you agree?
