To San Antonio
-Reggie Jackson
-Langston Galloway (*waive*)
-Tony Snell
-2020 1st round pick (Top 10 protected; 2021 Top 10 protected; 2022 Top 10 protected)

To Detroit
-DeMar DeRozan
-Patty Mills

Its essentially Jackson + Galloway + 1st for DeRozan with Snell and Mills included for positional roster balance. Assumption is Pistons make playoffs.

Rose/Mills/Frazier
Kennard/Thomas/Bowen
DeRozan/Doumbouya/FA?
Griffin/Morris/Beasley
Drummond/Maker/Wood

Jackson/Murray/White
Walker/Belinelli/Forbes
Gay/Snell/Johnson
Lyles/Carroll/Samanic/Metu
Aldridge/Poeltl/

Detroit currently appears to be a borderline team in regards to the luxury tax. This trade would push them definitely into paying luxury tax.

I would rather have Snell than Mills and it would be (Please Use More Appropriate Word) to trade a 1st for an expiring DeRozan. I would love to see Reggie Jackson and Langston Galloway gone tho.

Jackson + Snell = matching salaries

Jackson+Snell+Kennard makes some sense to me. Kennard is a pretty known quantity at this point, a decent player that can shoot and handle the ball, but probably not going to become the best player on a playoff team.

Well the OP lands the Pistons DeRozan without going into the tax. Would they be willing to go into the tax this season?

If so, it could be altered

To Spurs
-Jackson
-Galloway
-2020 1st (unprotected)
-2021 Lakers 2nd
-2024 2nd

To Pistons
-DeRozan
-Murray

I would say yes to this if I’m the pistons

I think the deal would be at the deadline, if SAS is out of the hunt, and basically be Jackson/Galloway/FRP Protected for DeRozan and filler.

Pops isn't dealing DeRozan for a rebuild package until its clear they are not a playoff team, or maybe clear they are a 7/8 seed at best while also not wanting to resign DD.

Of course you would, you get the 2 best players in the trade by a long shot.

Spurs wouldn't throw in Murray
