Sneaky suspicion on our final WR picks....

1.) Adams, Allison and Kumerow
2.) MVS, ESB and Sheppard

Just missed the cut: Moore, Davis and (Lazard (Practice Squad))

I expect the same. They might have more than one WR on the practice squad though.

Shepherd might be #1 slot receiver by next season. It helps that he returned punts in college (3rd team all american in FCS for returning) with the possible loss of Davis.

Agreed with boh of you. I hope Lazard can make it to the practice squad. Kumerow has seemed to legitimately shot up the pecking order to the point where I not only think he may be a lock at this point, he may even be battling with MVS for reps. Wild.

Overall I like that group though. The top 3 you list are the proven and ready guys and the bottom 3 are all talented young pieces.

I've been talking to some of my buddies and my brother and think Shepherd is a near lock to make the roster. There is some Jamison Crowder there that I really like. Just seems like he is a guy that can get separation in short distances and over the middle.

Allison and Kumerow seem like the same guy. Kumerow probably has better hands. I doubt it will happen, but I would rather have the potential of Moore or Davis than Allison. Moore has to get over the drops, but he is definitely a more talented player than Allison. Also I think they will use a lot of 2 wrs sets this year with either 2 tes or a FB on the field. In that case I would rather have a guy with some speed opposite Adams on the other side of the field.

Lol yeah I’m pretty sure MVS exact role is to be big and fast and get down field and either make big plays or at least make the defense spread to respect the fact that he could. Pretty sure it’s all but a lock that the primary 3 wr set is him and Adams outside and Allison slot.

What I’m curious is about who is the next to get reps in the slot? I’m sure Adams could, obviously Shepperd could, maybe Davis, could kumerow? Not that we need a pro topical slot guy as much with this offense but I’m curious the pecking order. My hope is there is all kinds of rotations and formations, similar to how the front 7 will be.

DEFENSE
IL-5- Clark / Adams / Lowry / Kingsley / Lancaster
ED-5- Smith / Smith / Gary / Fackrell / Gilbert
IB-4- Martinez / Owens / Young / Bolton
CB-6- King / Alexander / Williams /Brown / Jackson / Hollman
FS-4- Savage / Amos / Greene / Redmond

24 just misssed - FBrown, Crawford
Redmon could be cut for a better S at cutdown

OFFENSE
LT 2– Bahktiari / Light
RT 2– Bulaga /
LG 2– Taylor / Jones
RG 2– Turner / McKinney
C 2– Linsey / Patrick
TE 4– Graham / Tonyon / Mercedes / Sternberger
WR 6– Adams / Alison / MVS / Kumerow / EQ / Shepherd
RB 4– Jones / Williams / Williams / (FB)-Valley
QB 3– Rodgers / Kizer / Boyle

26 – close but no cigar = Davis Moore Madison
Had Davis not got hurt I think he would have made it - so they need a return guy-Shepherd. Davis was so good on ST and was playing well at WR. Hope Shep steps up.
Madison to PS
If no WR gets hurt Moore traded for a low pick? - 6th?
Will Sternberger go to IR?
Maybe Pack snags a old vet LT who still has one solid year in him at final cut down to give depth at 2nd most important position. Maybe even give a 6th to team who is on the fense of keeing the old vet or sinxe they have e new kid for sure stsrting - the pick makes up their minds.

I think Shepherd becomes the new Randall Cobb in this offense. He looks really sharp.

Not a single one of these dudes is proven outside of Adams.

Well, you seemed to ignore him totally in the post I replied to. And you talked about having speed opposite Adams in 2 WR sets. :dontknow:

So what's your logic for excluding MVS? :dontknow:

I didn't ignore him. He is a lock to make the team. Hopefully he is the guy that is in 2 wr sets with Adams. I guess the point of my post was about keeping a more explosive player over Allison or Kumerow.
