Im impressed we have even been in the discussion involving free agents this year. Beal would be a great get. Can't wait for the season to start though either way. I wasn't too see herro learn from his mistakes and us find a easy to get okpala involved. Im not s high on Winslow but I guess we will see. Still following jrich projection though as he is a heater no matter what team he plays for.

What's interesting is the timing, Butler following Beal and C.Johnson having dinner with Beal seems to be around the same time Butler is returning from overseas.

Let's assume these Butler-Beal rumors are real smoke and some combination of Bam, Winslow & filler somehow land Beal. How do you guys feel about building around Beal, Butler, Herro, DJJ, maybe even JJ and Waiters with hopes of making another splash in 2021?

Defense would be rough. Interior would most likely be a mess. Still, would would hover around top 5 in the East with 2 stars which is similar or better than how the Heat would perform as currently constructed. Would you guys run with that knowing Beal and Butler could make a serious recruiting pitch in 2021?

In this hypothetical, next season could look something like this which actually is a nice little squad to build from.

Let's assume these Butler-Beal rumors are real smoke and some combination of Bam, Winslow & filler somehow land Beal. How do you guys feel about building around Beal, Butler, Herro, DJJ, maybe even JJ and Waiters with hopes of making another splash in 2021?

Fair. Although, ideally you keep the cheap high upside talent such as Herro & KZ if you can and make a splash in one of the next 2 FA periods. But of course with Riley, if the right disgruntled star becomes available then everyone becomes dispensable.

But imagine going into 2021 FA with an opportunity at Giannis with a core of Butler, Beal, Herro, DJJ, and KZ (assuming he lives up to his hype).

Would Washington do a Winslow, Herro, Leonard trade? They get a promising rookie, an up and coming player on a great contract, and an expiring. Why Miami does it? Beal is Herro's ceiling. I LOVE Winslow but this trade makes us better and we can still be a player in 2021.

That said, Mia would either have to be prepared to move about 65 million in contracts or find a 3rd team.

Wall's contract is regarded by some to be the worst contract in the league. That said, if Mia were willing to absorb the burden, they may not have to surrender their most valued assets to get a deal done.

This trade ideally makes the most sense for us in terms of roster balance, but I think it's pretty obvious Bam currently has the most value as well as upside as a prospect which I believe Wash will want in the case of a Beal trade. Winslow is on a great contract as well and very young with a versatile skillset and his contract helps makes money match without losing too many players. Just seems like these 2 would make the most sense. A steep price to pay but probably worth it.

He's just a Miami Heat fan trying to use his connection and advertising it. Usually they do it in private. I doubt Chad really has an influence on Beal besides being entertaining to Beal. But you never know.
