Agree about Nembhard. I downtown know if he has the physical attributes to be a star but the way he plays at his own controlled pace at his age is very impressive. Good size, good feel for the game and never seems to get sped up like a lot of young guys do.

Lol I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I was impressed with the play of Owen Klassen (wtf?). He honestly looks like Miles Plumlee with a three point shot lol.

I know it’s exhibition but that was a fun game to watch and I’m glad I woke up early to do so. Canada was without Ejim, Heslip and Joseph and still shot really well from 3

You guys played much better as a team and will no doubt surprise a few people at the World Cup off the back of that chemistry. This was our first hit out and clearly we have a lot of work and improving to do in order to compete for a medal.

PG - Jamal Murray, Andrew Nembhard, Lindell Wigginton
SG - Andrew Wiggins, Nickeil Alexander-Walker
SF - R.J. Barrett, Melvin Ejim
PF - Kelly Olynyk, Ignas Brazedeikis, Mfiondu Kabengele
C - Brandon Clarke, Chris Boucher,

How do leave Pangos off!? And you have Nickeil over Shae!?!?! I'd rather have Shae than Wiggins tbh
And you are going to leave off the most loyal Canada NBA player other than Olynyk !?
I really don't get this list

Though lack of NBA talent there are lot of high IQ players on the team that make the right decision and are good enough shooters to keep defences honest. The lower IQ players on the team seem to be Brisett and Birch(he needs to stop trying to shoot from outside and going coast to coast on fast breaks otherwise he’s good). Everyone else seem to be competent enough to make the right decisions when they get the ball in their hands and also on defence (Brisett is severely lacking in man to man defence)

I think we all needed a win like this in what has been a depressing few weeks for Canada Basketball. Nurse is going to have to pull off some wizardry if we're going to have a chance to make it out of our group. Imagine if we still have Triano? Yikes.

Game stats - It's just an exhibition, but impressive. Now if we can get CBC to put up the archived game we'll be in business.

watched first half during my break, looked like neither team wanted to reveal theur tactics much, just a lot of running and gunning

Game story from Australia. It must be humiliating to Canadian media members that their employers have not sent them to cover this team. I'd be surprised if any of them even go to the World Cup. I think there's a lot of grass roots basketball interest in this country that obviously hasn't filtered up to the executive suite level. This Canuck team can really shoot- and they didn't even play Heslip.

I think this is a good point - neither team is showing it's full repertoire.

I think we've all been so caught up in the fact the NBA guys didn't show we have all forgotten this is one of the best teams we've had in terms of guys who play in some highly competitive leagues overseas; also one of the best shooting teams we've ever had.

Australia is going to get better by the time the tournament starts so I'd assume they'll give Canada a tougher go but hey we could get better too so who knows. Finally some positivity!!

Anything jumped out from the game? I’m more interested in plays or schemes that Nurse used

So who's gonna get cut?

These 11 I'd say are pretty much set:

Pangos / Nembhard / P. Scrubb

Joseph / Heslip

Ejim / T. Scrubb

Wiltjer / Brissett

Birch / Klassen

That leaves the 12th spot for one of Kajami-Keane, Best, & Notice. All three have a case.

Really interesting to me that they held Mills and Delly to a combined 9 of 27.

I didn't watch the game, only saw the shortened highlight version so I can't say what lead to it.

Obviously Delly was horrific just based on the box score and the bits I've read on Twitter, but does anyone have any insight? Was this a Nurse masterclass or just a really bad shooting night for the Aussie guards?
